For anyone using the A Lot of Textures 4K mod, you will need to manually repair certain files as the conversion process no longer works. If you don't, you'll have plain black textures in certain areas. Liara, for example, will permanently Embrace Eternity and Shepard's bed will look like someone dropped a grenade on it. So! Thought I'd provide this easy fix so you don't have to bounce around google like I did. - Down DDS Export
- Determine which files are causing issues (Normandy multi-level materials)
- Load the TPF into ME3Explorer
- Click Check All and Export each file before analyzing. (I make a separate folder to keep things neat.)
- Analyze now and auto repair everything. You'll notice plenty of messed up or pure black textures.
- Each of those needs to be opened into DDS Export and saved.
- Now click Replace in ME3Explorer and locate the correct texture
And that's it. Once you do that, go about installing as normal and everything should be fixed without a hitch.

Perhaps it is just me, but what do you mean "and Shepard's bed will look like someone dropped a grenade on it"? I use ALOT 2017.3 and I just loaded a previous save to check her bed on the Normandy ... The bed looks normal to me? Also last night I talked with Liara on Illium, and she and her office looked great and normal to me?

Since it was removed from the Nexus, I had to you what was uploaded to one drive via the link. Maybe smarteck didn't have every 4k file? If so, my mistake then. Either way, when I loaded everything into ME3Explorer, I had numerous pure black texture issues-- the bed being among them. For whatever reason those files didn't convert to DX1 properly.

Yeah once it was back on the Nexus I downloaded version 2017.3 and installed it, never seen anything odd like what you mention. Now what is not clear to me from your opening post is whether you see these problems in ME2 or ME3. ALOT for ME2/ME3 is back for some time now, but I do not have ME3, just ME1 and ME2. So if you have these problems in ME3 then I can not say if I have them to or not. ( But for now I assume you mean ME2? )

With Andromeda out so soon, I don't think I'll have a chance to play it beforehand lol.
