Tagging SPOILERS
Explain what type of spoilers will be in your thread in the OP or before a tagged spoiler.
Example:
That the spoiler is about:Story / Ending / Character / Multiplayer / Quests / Collectibles / Gameplay / Builds / etc
Don't let people bump into a surprises, so no unintroduced threads, no floating spoiler tags.
Spoiler-free Safe Zone
You can ask questions about spoilers in this thread, or PM a moderator.
SPOILER RULES
- Don't put spoilers in thread titles.
- Ideally explain what type of spoilers will be in your thread, in the OP
- Don't post spoilers that are unrelated to the thread or topic being discussed. Don't cross-spoil!
- Spoiler tag content that goes beyond or spoils outside of the topic under discussion (or for size).
- Give a non-spoiler description of what a spoiler tag contains, not just 'what do you think about...whatever big spoiler it may be...
What is a SPOILER?
- A spoiler could be any aspect of the game that by being revealed hampers someone's enjoyment.
Which means that spoilers are highly subjective. So be careful. - For that reason, it makes more sense to keep it simple and classify spoilers so that people can make up their own minds about what to read.
Basically, don't surprise people with a spoiler, those are not good surprises...
What can be posted where?
- General Discussion forum: bsn.boards.net/board/5
Yes: Discussions about Mass Effect Andromeda from pre-launch promotional material, trailers and tweets, and game mechanics.
No: Preview spoilers, story spoilers, actual in-game content, walkthroughs, and quest solutions. - Multiplayer Discussion: bsn.boards.net/board/33
- Yes: Multiplayer mechanics, builds, maps and multiplayer matches.
- No: Discussion about the single-player game story or characters.
- Characters and Romance discussion: bsn.boards.net/board/32
- Yes: Discussions about Mass Effect Andromeda characters and romances from pre-launch promotional material, trailers and tweets.
Inevitably some references to romance options and story beats will creep in, but keep them mild and spoiler tagged. - No: Character events and surprises from the story. Let people play the game and find out for themselves.
- Spoilers discussion: bsn.boards.net/board/37
- Yes: Any spoiler topic, except (see 'No')
- No: Don't post spoilers in titles, even in the Spoiler forum, give the area of discussion, not the spoiler itself. Don't cross-spoil threads.
