Personally I'm not a fan when games don't have a physical save function, I don't trust auto-saving. I hope Andromeda keeps the physical save function.

Hell, in the gameplay footage from today, there's clearly a bigass option in the menu that says SAVE GAME, so I have no idea what the purpose of this thread is.

Does legend of Zelda 2 on the NES count? If you mean "Dark Souls," there is a manual save system in that game. It's just not a particularly good one. Zelda 2 was an action game, not an RPG. Even Miyamoto states this explicitly, which is why it has a different title from all other Legend of Zelda games. |

I asked for confirmation this morning. Manual, (probably) unlimited saves confirmed.
@tibermoon I see there are auto save points. How many manual save points are we allowed? Will they be limited like ME3?
@talon42 Apart from disk space, I don't believe we have a limit. Or if we do, it must be crazy high.

Why are you all so snotty? While I agree it is HIGHLY unlikely there will not be a manual save. The OP is quite right to fear its removal. It would make a game like this near unplayable.

The question was already answered and addressed in posts above; the fact is, anyone on this forum has likely seen the footage Bioware has put out or at the very least, knew that there was footage out. Not much digging to be done to see a function of a main menu in a game that's within a genre that's 65% menus. |
