I like to use my PC for not just gaming, but for video editing. This means that a lot of times, my PC is left unattended for roughly hour long increments while it renders/export videos. Well, for the past month, I have had to literally baby sit it because during the exporting (heck, even during games like Prison Architect which is hardly a game that needs a beast of a rig to run...) my PC would lock up showing a strange screen (either a completely dark grey screen or a blue screen [NOT the BSOD] with lines across the screen), then the PC would turn itself off and turn back off. Of course, I always lose the work it had done forcing me to start the process over again, and like clockwork, almost every time it gets to the last 10 minutes of the export, it crashes again...
It never started doing this crap before I moved in December, and I have made sure countless times that the PC has plenty of breathing room. And hours of google searches led me nowhere. I know you guys are a largely PC centric group (in fact, it was BSN which convinced me to finally get a gaming PC in the first place which has been a great experience until 2017 when this problem started), so I definitely feel most comfortable asking you guys.
Does anyone here know what I am describing or have experienced it first hand and can help me figure out a fix? My specs are:
AMD Athlon X4 760K 3.8GHz Quad-Core Processor Asus A88XM-E Micro ATX FM2+ Motherboard G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory XFX Radeon R7 265 2GB Video Card Corsair Builder 430W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply and I am using Windows 10
Any help would really be appreciated, thanks

Sounds like gpu to me, or possibly power related.
I'd start with your video card driver. Make sure you uninstall your previous driver to do a clean install of the new.
After that, since you moved I would suggest reseating your cables and hardware to make sure nothing has come loose.
Should neither of those work, then I would suspect your gpu or psu are failing.

Update, looks like that CX series psu is notorious for going bad. Might see if you have a friend with a spare psu to test out.

I won't be able to use another power supply or graphics card for a while, but I did open up my case to check on all the connections. Nothing appeared wrong with it but I did reseat them just in case. Now it's just a waiting game to see if the PC crashes again. The odd thing is, the majority of the time it happened was when I was using Hitfilm 4 Express. It happened other times, yes, (such as during Prison Architect), but I'd say 75% of the time was when I was exporting a project in Hitfilm. Last night, after the fourth crash it finally finished. Then I spent 2 hours worth of converting .mkv files into .mp4 using Handbrake with zero issues. Once I get a new job I'm going to switch over to a much better Intel Build rather than my current one, so hopefully the issue is just with my components. Here's the build I'm planning to get: pcpartpicker.com/user/Sonic10158/saved/#view=wTt999edit: I forgot to change the PSU in the build, so what would be a good PSU? Should these components be good? Pretty much I want to be able to play Mass Effect Andromeda, GTA V, use Hitfilm and Handbrake, and use virtual machines to play some Windows 98 games if possible

That pc build is really good. AMD is releasing some new Ryzen chips soon btw. Might be worth a look if you're going to be doing rendering stuff. Definitely. 8c/16t will blow the pants off 4c/8t for rendering. The only thing I would recommend changing is getting a Gold-rated PSU instead of a Bronze, but it's not a huge deal. Here's an 80+ Gold for about $20 more, with an optional $10 mail-in rebate

Sounds like a bad video card.
