Not doing well on the 2nd planet (starts with an E?).
Played through the first planet using the game's auto-detect settings, which was a mixture of ultra and high (@1440p). Everything went well for the most part; I generally stayed between 50 and 60 fps, with some minor dips below that.
Now that I'm on the 2nd planet, performance is in the toilet. At the same auto-detect settings, the opening cut-scene drops to 10 fps, and the gameplay has me anywhere between 17 and 50 fps, depending on what's on the screen. I tried dropping the settings to all high, with AA off, lowered the ambient occlusion, and that gets me 22-60 fps, depending on what's on the screen (I can stare at a wall and get higher frames, obviously). The issue isn't so much the low frames, but that it's constantly jumping around everywhere and isn't stable at all.

So I just preordered on PC and cancelled my ps4 predorder, I am really hoping it'll play on high-ish setting on my new, semi-good PC. I5-7500 3.40 Ghz 8 GB Ram 6 GB Nvidia 1060 Now, Dragon Age: Inquistion is running fine on ultra, with some few moments of slowdown. So I am hoping ME:A is the same, albeit perhaps on lower settings than ultra. so an update and in need of some assistance, i tried the trial for a few hours and for the most part the game ran well on ultra and on high yet i keep experiencing noticable choppiness in gaming and cutscenes and i wonder why otherd it seems are doing well.

Yup, that did it. Thanks. Really strange that this issue didn't manifest in the first area. I now get 75-100 fps in that intro cut-scene, and a relatively stable 50ish fps walking around at the start of that 2nd area.

Have you replaced the thermal paste on your GPU? That might help with the throttling issues if it's been a while, and it isn't that much harder to do than replacing paste on a CPU. I haven't, actually. I should probably do that. I still plan on jumping on a 480 once I decide on whether or not Asus's white cooler is no big deal since it'll save me $20. I'm sure I'm stating the obvious here, but make sure you apply a decent amount of thermal paste. GPUs don't have heat spreaders, so you need to apply enough to cover the entire die.

I was quite liberal with my paste. Looks like there was a 20° in temperatures since I last checked, but I used some cheapo thermal paste since it was all I had on hand. I bit and bought a 480 though, but my sister will be able to make use of the card at the very least.

Can't get passed the start menu its so slideshow-y.
Running a 1060 6GB, 8 GB ram and the 8230 for a processor.
It might be my graphics driver but I can't get it to update.
edit: and apparently Nvidia Control Panel says I don't have an Nvidia card installed... :/

Yoir gfx card is a budget card! way below minimum. The first number is the generation (you have a 9th generation) the last numbers are the tier. 50 is mere budget, 60 is your avg gamer card, etc. In other words, a 760 would be better than your card and a 770 would be not just abit, but alot better than your card. GTX 950 is close but not below minimum. The minimum GPU for this game is GTX 660 and GTX 950 is a little bit faster.

Demanding != Unoptimized
Make sure you turn on triple buffering if you are going to use vsync or your framerate will suffer. GTX 950 should work well since I am getting 40~100fps on my GTX 960M and it's below both GTX 950 and GTX 660. While graphics preset makes stuff easy, it's best to customize the settings based on your GPU capability and your liking.
Texture quality and texture filtering do not cost much performance but provides significant visual detail boost. Shadow quality, ambient occlusion, effects quality, render resolution can cost a lot of performance so adjust accordingly.

According to game debate it was above minimum and below recommand settings. (minimum = 660 gtx according to them).

To give my pc rig the best chance to avoid low frame rates and graphics tearing then before I launch Origin I restart into the Administrator User. Then I Right Click the Start icon > Run > type msconfig, run it, and open the tab that allows me to disable all nonessential drivers. In the Windows system folder I open the prefetch folder and trash the saved files there, except for the reboot(?) folder. I then run CCleaner to remove all temporary system and software temp files, then run Auslogics disk defrag (especially if I just downloaded and installed the game). Then restart into the administrator user and I'm good to go with a refreshed pc system to run Origin and launch the game. I found it really helps.

I apologize in advance if this in the wrong place. Has anyone else had problems launching the 10hr Trial ? It's been working fine with no problem but just recently today I was going to load it up. I still have some of the downloading left to do currently on 81%. I hit the play button - Cloud Sync window pops up 5% wooosh 100% - Nothing I heard there has been a patch released all ready and I'm hoping thats the reason why and that I just need to wait it out for it to download fully. Has anyone else had the same issue or know of a possible fix ? I hope there is a fix or it's just temporary...Having to unistill.Don't even lol.The thought of that makes my face tired. 4.Days.81% :srs: Thanks in advance and again sorry if I may of overlooked something and this is in the wrong place to post.

What kind of sorcery is this? Looks like this game utilizes GPU backwards in my case, it uses 35-70 when there's a lot to render and it goes up to 95-100 when I stare at the wall or ground. I think there's no bottleneck, CPU usage never went above 85%. Penom II X4 955 BE HD 7850 2GB (I know it's weak but this game can't even get the most out of it so i get framerate drops)

Does anyone else's game restart your PC after the cutscene right after using the tram for the first time? After waking up in cryo bay. It didn't do it before the last patch, but now it does. OK, solved it. I'm using the latest Nvidia drivers and turned HDR to "off" just to be sure.
