okay, i've lowered my settings and managed to play at around 50 fps at Eos.
But then I noticed, the longer I play, the performance worsen.. after playing more than 30 minuts and travelling a bit with Nomad, I got a laggy gameplay with fps at around 20fps. I kept monitoring my cpu temp, it was stable around 70'. Is this actually more about engine optimization than problem on my laptop? (or both?)

Hey guys,
just a simple question.... Do you guys know what happened to the promised Dolby Atmos support?

So I average about 58 fps @1440p on ultra preset, but there is still a problem. I have some crazy low dips that drop down to near 0 fps and its annoying as all hell. Anyone know how to fix this or should I just wait for a patch? Are you getting those dips randomly or in specific places? One performance tip I can give you is to set Windows power management to High Performance profile instead of the Balanced profile, and set your video card drivers also to high performance: for nVidia cards go into the nVidia Control Panel, then Manage 3D Settings, Program Settings tab and set the Power management settings to Prefer maximum performance. Both these changes will ensure that your system does not lower performance when in game (power savings features will still be active, so your PC won't run always at full speed). Me. It works and the graphics are more than good enough. Also, I'm not complaining.
It's a solution that anyone can try until they can decide what to do (ie: upgrade the hardware or wait for a patch that may never come).
You can use resolution scaling and lower it to get more performance. The game will render at lower resolution, but upscale the final image to your monitor's native resolution, giving you the performance boost without losing as much quality. ,.-~*´¨¯¨`*·~-.¸-(_MEA_)-,.-~*´¨¯¨`*·~-.¸
Exactly! And, I'm playing the game full screen with my 2K 27" monitor.

It's possible the graphics card is hitting the thermal wall and is dialing back the megahertz speed to control the heat.

ME:A is the game that has finally broken my twin GTX680s in SLI setup. The auto-detect sets me at medium/low, and while I am able to custom it back to 1080p and high textures, bumping anything else to high/ultra is a virtual guarantee of a black screen within a minute or two. I don't think I need a new CPU, as I'm running a Core i7 3960X chip, but it looks like it finally may be time to bite the bullet and update the GPUs. Yes, thats a pretty good CPU. Get yourself a 1070, more than double the performance on a single board. If I do a replace, I'm going to get a pair of cards for an SLI setup. When I built my current rig, the 680s were Nvidia's latest card, and the 3960X was the last word on processors. I built it in late 2012, and frankly, getting more then 4 years of gaming out of a custom gaming rig has me pretty happy. Literally, I have not had to make a single hardware change aside from replacing worn out keyboards and mice since I got it. Got a recommendation for what cards in SLI will give me a solid 2-3 years before I need to think about replacing them? (I am an Nvidia guy, not Radeon, so please don't give me Radeon suggestions.)

Probably one or two weeks. They'll fix the most important things first. I heard some people still have that annoying audio issue. I still get infinite loadscreens. Don't expect a greater performance patch, I also don't think they'll magically double the performance. Up to 25 % may be possible. I can really need GV104 now... Glad I didn't buy the overpriced 1080 for 700+ €, it would have 6 FPS more than my 1070, which would be 40 instead of 34 then. Reaching 45 FPS bottom on "High" would be a dream. Are most of the patches for PC? If I ever buy the game, it will be on PS4. What consoles are having infinite loadscreens and audio issues?

SLI is badly supported on modern games and doesn't work in DX12/Vulkan modes (unless the devs spend time to support multi GPU setups, which as of now only a couple tech demos did but no AAA or indie game). On top of this SLI support isn't always the best now, driver improvements will come out slower than before. If you want performance just grab a GTX1080Ti and forget all the hassle.

honestly I haven't noticed a dip in performance but then I'm on xbox one and I've been playing 24 hours straight and finally taking a much needed break.
I do wonder if they are going to come out with more patches for the game

I have come across an interesting bug, pretty game breaking as well, after doing Cora's loyalty mission i went to the Nexus to see how that panned out and now whenever i enter the Docking area and try to move towards the ship area,it closes the game back to desktop,i am not saying crashing as there are no logs to that effect. So i am now 51% into the game and unable to leave the Nexus,my next nearest save is 3 hours apart from the the newest one.

Huh, don't know what did it. But after a certain story point the Nexus docking bay is now causing immediate CTD when traversing.

Yep there's definitely memory leak or something. Was playing on EOS fine 60 fps and all that. Go to nexus, game starts stuttering crazy from 60 to 30 and back up, i know the performance isn't right because i WAS getting smooth frame-rate before at the same place. I quit the game, starting back up, and lo and behold no stutter. And after 40 ++ hours of the game this behavior is very noticeable after playing for a while and changing zones. There's definitely a performance bug.

I found a really strange error on the PC version today. Apparently, if you use a Bluetooth version of the Xbox One controller, the game hangs after 5-10 minutes of play. Using a non-usb controller, a Xbox 360 wireless with a USB dongle, I have no issues.
How odd the game doesn't fully support Microsoft's newest controller.

Spoilers about minor side quest related to Nexus and Exiles. Did you also have the active quest about Knight and the 3 devices? I saw some posts on EA/reddit saying it was Vetra related, but I got a voice over from Kandros saying I'd taken too long, but I was still able to disable all 3. After I completed this quest is when the Docking Bay became glitched for me.

Generally speaking a memory leak issue will keep eating ram indefinitely, but in some cases it may "stop" when you have high enough RAM. Following the GTA V example, I've read about people who claimed the game will stop using more ram at about 12 to 14 GB, while others said it'll simply delay the inevitable; meanwhile others claimed the game worked just fine with 4GB of RAM... BTW, how much RAM do you have?
