and what about an i7 for recommended? I don't know but this seems fishy to me, they wait this long to release the specs so people start freaking out and quickly run to the store while there system my very well be fine. That's certainly BS. It pains me to see people getting way overpowered (and overpriced) CPUs for gaming, and BS specs like that one might be the reason. Way back in the day, having a 486 DX-33 vs. a DX2-66 could determine whether you could play something or not; but desktop processors are absolute beasts nowadays for all kinds of home use, gaming included.

16 GB is the new standard. Mankind Divided had it as well, and it really needed it too. Plus its not really an issue considering how cheap RAM is these days. 16 gb shouldn't be the new standard when ROTTR needs only 8 and looks way better. I know RAM is cheap but it's still ridiculous. RAM isn't really important when it comes to graphics. Its important during scenarios like scenes with loads of npc's. Think of GTA V etc. Its also possible that Bioware simply wants to make sure that they covered their bases. Most games that recommend 8 GB never used that much either. Maybe Andromeda does go over 8 GB during certain scenes, hence why they recommend 16 GB just in case.

Yeah don't worry about that. While an i7 will give you a few more frames at times, an i5's these days are very reliable as well.

Trust me, in my country not even the RAM is cheap. and what about an i7 for recommended? I don't know but this seems fishy to me, they wait this long to release the specs so people start freaking out and quickly run to the store while there system might very well be fine. It's because that is exactly the case. Of course you don't need that i7, they're bluffing. It's a marketing strategy as you said, so everyone freaks out and start throwing money at the furnace buying new shit they don't really need. And if the game truly needs that i7 to run, then holy space cows, this title will really set a precedent for unoptimized games.

Ouch, thems are pretty steep requirements. My R7 260x is going to feel the pain . I really need to upgrade this year. At that pace I'll barely be able to play stuff that comes out in 2018.

Alright, I've got a problemo. I thought I was up-to-date with everything but my video card but I went to the www.systemrequirementslab.com/ website and it says my CPU doesn't even meet minimum requirements. HALP! Do I need to get another CPU, too? My CPU currently is: AMD FX(tm)-8120 Eight-Core Processor

Maybe Andromeda does go over 8 GB during certain scenes, hence why they recommend 16 GB just in case. Yeah, that's also a fact. They say 16, but because maybe at some point in their tests you needed 10.2Gb, and they're not gonna say "10.2Gb of RAM recommended" But most of it is just bluffing and over-exaggeration. That page is the master of the bullshitness. All it does is taking the "official specs" and comparing it with your PC so everyone can cut their veins when it says you can't run this or that game

I meet the minimum requirement , well not exactly because I have Amd FX 6300 and not 6350.(but those are basically the same) Otherwise I have 8 giga ram and a GTX 760 .
I'm not updating anything because I can't be bothered I already upgraded for DAI and Bioware games are the only game I play that requires that type of gaming computer so *shrug* I'll wait for DA4, in case of terrible plastic hair and if barely playable I'll get a refund and play MEA in a couple of years.

GPU: GeForce GTX 680 CPU: i5-2500k 3.30 GHz RAM: 8GB RAM OS: Windows 10. I can play DA:I on max settings with keeping stable 60 FPS for the most part. But I am fearing my CPU is below minimal requirements. While technically your cpu is below min requirements, you should still be fine. 2500k is a tough little beast. Well thank goodness. My i5 is going to have to last a bit longer yet. Can't afford to upgrade both it AND my gpu, and the gpu is a must right now. I ran DAI with no trouble, wasn't expecting requirements like this.

The rough part is having to upgrade to a whole new chipset :/ Having to upgrade to a new motherboard and ram just to upgrade the cpu is of course necessary but still bananas

hello.. someone told me to put my system specs in this thread so you guys would be able to tell me if I can run it or not, and if so can I run it decently? please and thankyou I'm a super noob/idiot when it comes to this stuff, didnt know how to find my computer's details til I googled it.. is that everything you need to be able to tell or is there something missing? thankyou in advance for any help It looks like your computer doesn't have a dedicated GPU, and instead uses the HD 4600 on your cpu. Did you play battlefield 1 or dragon age: inquisition on this machine by chance?

Not necessarily; I don't know about Windows 8.1, but the equivalent application on Windows 10 doesn't mention discrete graphics. He/she may want to find the 'Device Manager', and look for 'Display Adapters'.

Always thought that 16gb of RAM is useful if you are running additional programs in the background while playing. Or when using heavy graphics software to a degree.
Personally I shut down all non-essential stuff when playing games.

I played DA:I on it, and it ran pretty well. I got it based on what the guy said would run DA:I's specs decently >__> You will probably be fine, and it's just not listing your GPU in that chart. If you type into the search box "device manager" you should be able to see what graphics adapter you're currently using
