I may be wrong but the impression i got from Dev talks and the previews was that the game would be more about saving the human colonist inside the Hyperion (finding a viable place for a colony?) rather than saving the whole Andromeda Initiative. Don't those same talks mention how our Pathfinder will be able to complete construction on the Nexus and help secure a foothold in Andromeda? It would seem more likely that if we are going to be the one's responsible for finishing the Citadel MK2, that the rest of the Initiative isn't doing too well without us. That's more the nature of RPG Protagonists then humanity, from what I've seen it looks like they've done quite a bit. plus they've likely been fighting the Kett for the last 30+ years. |

I thought that 634 years was the estimated arrival date for all arks. It would sound quite stupid if other arrived after exactly 600 years.
Hyperion lagging behind and arriving when the other Milky Way characters have already done pretty much all the exploratory part takes away one of the premises of the game.

I agree, we know from the first Initiative briefing that the Nexus acts as a forward operating base, which means it's going to arrive before the Arks, now how long are they there before we arrive can range from as little as a few weeks to as long as a year. I doubt it. Aaryn (i think it was him) already said once on a interview that the Hyperion arrives late. So i believe it will take a lot more than a year. A year to maybe a decade max no more. |
