I can now confirm every squad-members "class" and most of their abilities. This is no longer speculation, If you don't want to know what "class" Jaal is then walk away. Spoiler incoming.Liam"Engineer" - Havoc Strike - Overload - Omni-grenade (i'm pretty sure that was what was tweeted)
Cora"Vanguard" - Charge - Nova - Shield Boost
PeeBee"Sentinel" - Pull - Shockwave - Invasion
*as of CES 2016 Drack"Soldier" - Blood Rage - Incinerate - Flak Cannon (I really hope he can do the hammer dance)
Vetra "Infiltrator" - Energy Drain - Turbo Charge - Trip mine EDIT It was brought to my attention that Power Armor is most likely an ability, I thought it was a passive.
* pure speculation on abilities, and I expect her weapon load-out to be like Varric. Non-removable, only upgradeable.
Jaal "Adept" - Throw?
EDIT I'm thinking Lance, Singularity, and on of these three; Stasis, Dark Channel, or Biotic Bubble.
This is where it is going to get weird. Because first I have to prove this, so viola
EDIT Not Jaal, he is actually in the way back left on the full picture which of course I cropped out like a ding-dong. No longer confirmed, back into wild speculation and my "specialist assigning" mechanic is back to unsubstantiated pipe-dream. At least there is confirmation of Angaran Biotics. I still support my class breakdown but can no longer say it is confirmed. I'll leave this thread up for my own humility.
That, on the right, is Jaal. With an odd helmet. Very Alien design which is good, because he is an alien from another galaxy. He is holding up a biotic bubble like the one near the end of the ME2 collector mission. The one that only your best biotics members (Samara and Jack) could successfully pull off. This could be one of his three abilities, and the one unique to him, but I want that to be Dark Channel because I WANT! I also think, and here is the wild speculation, that one of my oldest crackpot pipe dream theories could be true. Assigning squad-members to accomplish tasks based off their proficiencies just like in the Collector mission in ME2. The original theory was this would be in the Nexus strike mission or whatever they are called now (the ones that are multiplayer but you can also do it with your PC) but it could be a mechanic used through the entire game. This gameplay immediately after shows that Drack replaces Jaal on your team but the biotic bubble stays up. As far as I am concerned this confirms the" assigning specialists" mechanic is here in some form. This mission is probably the Nexus strike as an "extraction" timer pops up towards the end of the video but this would essentially mean that you have your full squad with you and assign them to tasks when needed. Jaal makes a bubble, Liam does engineer stuff, PeeBee pants' people, Cora glares menacingly, Vetra analyzes, Drack tells war stories (or whatever) and then your combat team defends them. Speaking of PeeBee and Jaal, I want that romance to happen just because it is the best couple name ever.
So yeah, super hyped. I really hope this is not tacked on because they sort of had this in 3 but it was so rare, and so tacked on that I don't consider it an actual mechanic. Oh yeah, also hyped for Adept Sniper. Talk about long range support.

I hope for Jaal to have some entirely new Biotic abilities. New galaxy, new flavors of Space MagicTM.

More speculation. Can't confirm it till you play it. Have you played it yet? You can speculate but can't confirm.

What makes you so certain that Liam is an engineer and Vetra is an infiltrator? I had them the other way around because havoc strike and omni grenade aren't tech skills.
Also, it's possible Liam might be classed as an explorer. In the latest AI briefing he says he prefers 'a bit of everything' when talking about profiles and classes.
I'm glad that it looks like eezo is in Andromeda.

Just another question: do the companion have fixed skills or a pool of skills we can choose from? I think I remembered in one video (don't know the title anymore because it was relatively old) Peebees' (or was ist Coras'?) profile name changed while tweaking around in the companion menu.
Edit: Ah, nevermind. Saw that they have fixed skills in the video with focus on Drack & Cora as squadmates. Forget what I asked.

Hmmm, well havoc strike (ME3 MP) and shield boost (ME1) were combat skills in the OT, so by that reasoning Cora is still a biotics/combat hybrid and Liam is a combat/tech hybrid. But Drack has incinerate (tech) which I find odd for a soldier. I hope you're right about Jaal!

Where did you get this info on Liam, PeeBee and Vetra?
Havoc Strike was confirmed for Liam ages ago but the rest? Also classifying a character without Tactical Cloak as an Infiltrator does not sit right with me even if this is the case and Turbocharge would not synergize with sniper rifles.

Well, in the first game, there was Garrus, a squadmate with combat/tech class, who was basically the same as ME1 Infiltrator. Tactical cloak and other cool powers came with Mass Effect 2. (But yeah, Infiltrator sounds like someone with stealth abilities, while Garrus was more like soldier with additional tech power)

It's a good guess that each member has 2 of the abilities available to Ryder, and 1 unique ability. This is true for Liam (hav strike), Cora (EDI's shield boost apparently, no ties to Cerberus there), and Drack (blood rage).
It also implies that one of PeeBee's current abilities will be something unique instead, and what we were shown is an outdated build.

A dev said the original classes aren't in MEA the same way they were in the trilogy, but that's still a pretty good list! Also in the combat vid you can see Jaal and PeeBee in the corner shooting as the female Angara is coming closer to Ryder.

It was weird that he said that because he has no biotic abilities. I think havoc strike is now a tech ability. Cora also has a tech ability. So a thing I have had to do is stop trying to compare everything to ME3 even though it is an excellent baseline for understanding MEA. Some things have changed because they made this game to play like the ME3 multiplayer from the ground up. Most combat abilities are consumables (which is smart because a combat focus is going to have shit for cool-downs) which is why I think Havoc strike, which was on a soldier, a tech ability and shield boost is 100% confirmed tech by way of Cora's ability screen. I think the only cool-down based abilities the soldier has is Turbo and Concussive shot. That is only 2 of 12. That is probably just so the soldier could have some abilities for free. Anyways it is all speculation and Jaal could just blow up like a giant pufferfish and roll around the battlefield.
