I don't know what going gold means. "Going Gold" is a developer term for when the game is officially finished. The retail version of the game is locked in, heading for the printers. Nothing will derail this crazy train now!Oh it's happened before...  Who is this strange character? I have never seen it before now that I can mod ME3.  |

That's why I said what I said in that the going gold basically means the studio is satisfied the game's in a good enough condition to be released I wouldn't even say that, it's less about satisfaction since plenty of games are pressed to discs with developers unsatisfied by the content. Day one patches alleviate this issue somewhat. So it's less about being happy with what you put out and more about at least getting something that's functional for the end user with the least amount of annoyances. Difference between a 7.3/10 over a 6.7/10. Decent, but you could not be satisfied with that level of quality when you know, if you could have the day one patch content on the disc at release, you'd have an 8.6/10 at minimum |
