Many of you have played Omega DLC. This DLC may have not been the most popular but it did add a new idea that haven't been seen throughout the series. That idea was that the player's class added to the story in the way of decision making. The engineer class had the upper hand when it came to hacking the terminal in a timely manner. EAware mentioned in the past that this aspect would be explored more in future titles in the series. Well now we have Andromeda, and classes are basically gone. How can class be apart of decision making, or will it even play apart? This was one of my peeves when it came to this new fluid class system. Yes I know Ryder's ability to swap out class specific powers will be explained in the main story arc, but I don't see how this ability could play a role in decision making like what we saw in the Omega DLC. This is why I liked both the class system and weapon restrictions. It formulated a specific way to play each class as the way the lore described. So I'm just wondering will there be any highlighting advantages in decision making based on the profile a player chooses?

Well with the profile system I hope RP options aren't tied to it, because that will just encourage me to meta knowledge and use the "right" profile ahead of time to get all the dialogue options.
According to a tweet from Ian you'll get to choose the training that Ryder had in the milky way though, so maybe make some dialogue based on that.

Considering part of the reason Paragon/Renegade was removed was to avoid decisions being dependent on specific builds or game mechanics, I doubt BioWare would gate other decisions behind specific profiles. BioWare doesn't want the player to be limited choice-wise. They want the player to have full freedom to choose the decisions he/she wants without obstruction.

I *loved* that feature in Omega where the player's class was acknowledged! I hope the profile gives some unique dialogue flavor. I doubt it'd be game changing or anything. In DA2, the player's tone also influenced some situations easier than others. Like for example, I remember that aggressive Hawke was able to ask that Qunari to assist in an attack. I wasn't able to get him to help out on ... sarcastic Hawke, I think. (It's been a good while so I don't remember the specifics.) Also in DAI, the player looked side to side before looking down to see Dagna while the dwarf just saw her right away. It wasn't game-changing, but a neat perk. So things like that are awesome and I hope they find a way to implement that in Andromeda.
