55 GB is about 5 more than Battlefield 1 and 10 more than Dragon Age: Inquisition, then again Doom reboot was eating up about 80 gigs on my HDD.

Size of the world has nothing to do with how much hard drive space you'll need. Oftentimes what ends up taking up the most space is audio files (especially if they are uncompressed) and texture files. The Witcher 3 (plus both DLCs), which is one of the largest and beautiful open world games out there, is less than 40gb of memory. The approximate size for MEA, at least on PC, is rather standard.

I Found out that there is supposed to be a physical disk version of the game for PC -at least according to someone from Bioware.
Just need to order standard edition NOT the digital standard edition.
IF that turns out against me oh well.
Not much I can do.
I just spend much of March, April and May downloading the game.

DOOM is ridiculously large, though; it's as though they didn't bother to compress anything. (They most likely didn't.) The base game was around 50 GB, I think; and the gargantuan free multiplayer updates added 30 GB on top of that. It's a gorgeous game, of course, but it's not a huge open world city/region. Though I suppose SnapMap assets take up much of that space.

GTA V takes 68 GB, and The Unmentionable Wiedźmin \|/ takes up 54, together with all the expansions; so 55 GB is pretty reasonable, I think.

I have the Windows 98 floppy disk installer stack around here somewhere and that was about 40 floppy disks.
