I dont own a pc or my ps3 anymore or i would replay the trilogy so the only bioware game i can play is DAI. Np though its one of my favorite games next to The Witcher 3 but im burned out from TW3(23 full playthroughs+dlc). I'll def play it again though in the future. Damn. I've been wanting to play witcher again but just keep getting intimidated by all the exploring and grinding.

I take it joining the Glorious PC Master Race isn't an option? I actually play on PC with a controller. I generally like controllers more, except for those joystick clickers. I hate controllers and have to use it for DAI, because there is no control to move the camera in dialogues with keyboard/mouse. In DAI you only have a couple of mapped active abilities anyway and you do not need to aim at anything. I wouldn't play a shooter like ME with a controller. Just finished the Western Approach and I think this is more balanced than Hinterlands. Hinterlands you run forth and back a dozen times without anything really happening. Get blankets (kill this), get food (kill that), kill templars, kill mages... Crestwood you meet NPC to actual talk to, first time take a keep and kill a dragon. Not so much running, the dam is a highlight and then the change in the map to visit old crestwood was cool. Western Approach, you start as usual with collecting Shards, Astrariums, Bandits. But there is the Warden story to get some cinematic dialogue, you take a keep, then there are the toxic clouds to remove and the in time frozen rift was cool. Killed the dragon... In nearly all areas the main story is told via text, so you need to like reading. I slowly get used to not having much cinematic around, but rather a hack&slash with interesting texts and some cool features on the map.

I lucked out for I was given an Elite controller last year and it made that aspect much nicer for I just mapped the LB3/RB3 to triggers that are underneath the controller.

It's too big or as Colin Moriarty always says "It's too dense..!" but if you stick to taking on a few contracts here and there, pick one type of Witcher gear and grind for that, you'll get a smooth experience. I struggled to keep my playtime under 60 hours and I was being very choosy about what I was doing in the game. Good thing simply exploring to take in the sights is rewarding in the game because the world feels truly alive.

I tried to play DAI again last weekend but I struggled. I don't want to start from nothing again because I can't commit to a full playthrough due to time, and I don't have saves in the right places with any of my previous characters (I seem to have deleted all of my early-mid game ones).
I wish there was a NG+. if there were, i'd be all over it.

ihate controllers and have to use it for DAI, because there is no control to move the camera in dialogues with keyboard/mouse. You mean you can do that on consoles? Huh. Never knew that Still not worth putting up with a controller for; honestly, I prefer leaving non-combat camera work to the devs. Right. The Hinterlands has an odd design issue; there's a single main plot line -- securing the refugees from various threats -- but there's no central opponent. The Storm Coast has a similar issue; the Inquisitor's mission turns out to be a bust,so once you've dealt with the Blades you could just leave.

You mean that the game's too difficult at low levels, or just that you don't have enough activatable abilities before L10 or so? I don't know, it's been a long time since I played through it. I remember loving the combat and I had an unbelievably powerful assassin who I loved fighting with. Had a ludicrous critical chance and crazy high damage IIRC. If I could start again with all my stuff and skills and just have the enemies scale to me that'd be fine. It's just the starting from scratch that puts me off. It's definitely not a question of difficulty - I play on nightmare. It's not totally the same, but that golden nug makes a huge difference to me. I don't have to spend a bunch on the best schematics in the game anymore. You know what, i'd forgotten all about that. Maybe I will give it another try tomorrow.

I started playing Inquisition again as I never finished it. At first, I was having a good go of it but the completionist in me won't allow me to summon the will to complete it. I only have the Western Appraoch, Hissing Wastes, and Forbidden Oasis to slog through before I start the final quest, but I can't get motivated to do it lol. If anything replaying Inquisition makes my expectations for the quality of sidequests in Andromeda to soar super high. I don't want to feel like I'm doing chores like I am with Inquisition right now. Still I really wanna get to the Trespasser DLC :X

Trespasser is also extremely good and sets up the next Dragon Age. You cannot miss it! You still have some time before MEA is here!

The first two zones are two of my favorite zones in the game.

Hissing Wastes. Urgh. Urgh. URGH! But I really hate the Forbidden Oasis. Every time I think of replaying, I just think of the Oasis and stop. All those climbing, and not knowing how to get that shard/rift/etc. Yuck

I found the Golden Nug makes a big different for me. It isn't the same as being level 30+ in a level 5 area, but not needing to collect all those non-experience collectables was enough for me. I also found modding the game to have instant War Table returns improved everything else. It does take time to get to having a good build, but I am not sure if starting at max level would make for a fun experience, for I have had issues with the Trial system and not sure if I was going to have a game where my goal is to finish the game I would have them on unless I was just rushing through.
