Surviving ME1 and ME2 characters that didn't appear in ME3, but could appear in ME:A?

I really hope absolutely no one. Character callbacks are sometimes fun, but BioWare's propensity for dropping familiar faces throughout also has the negative effect of shrinking the universe. Like, man, you'd think a few parsecs would make people a bit harder to come across again.

If there is one then Maeko Matsuo. But just one. Let's not have endless in jokes for the trilogy players. That's just tiresome.

I'd like to see the prophet hanar from ME1 maybe Nelyna... those could fit, need a consort on the nexus for sure.

Gianna Parasini. She had some detective-y stuff to do on board the hyperion and ended up getting drug along.

I agree, I think how all the returning characters felt squeezed into the game (edit: Mass Effect 3) to show how choices mattered bothered me more then the for they felt like placeholder and inconsequential content especially if they could have multiple reactions or died like the squad members that returned.  They all felt very hollow because they couldn't guarantee on a character returning or it was a easily overlooked cameo.

I have said I liked the Conrad Vernor side quest in Mass Effect 3 and I do, but it always feels like they crammed as many possible tie-ins to the previous game as they possibly could.  For you have Conrad himself, the data collection from Feros, firearm licenses, the Matriarch collection quests, and Rita all in a ten minute side quest, not to mention the Thermal Clip versus Overheating discussion and the acknowledgement that the Conrad import into Mass Effect 2 was busted.

Diana Allers, Jacob Taylor, and James Vega are my favorite characters and I hope they get a lot of screen time in Andromeda!
