How difficult is it to play through as a dual wielding rogue? I've have played through as an archery rogue and a mage, but just couldn't see myself a dual wielder., fighting with the controls. A lot of the times I could just see myself standing near something wondering why it wouldn't go down.
I've also pondered the possibility of playing a sword and board warrior, as Cassandra stayed up during a lot of the dragon fights.

Dual wield rogue isn't hard to play, but it's a little boring for my taste. I enjoyed mage and archer more, and would choose fighter before dual wield. Sword and board Templar was fun and so was a two handed Reaver. This was the first DA game where the devs actually made fighters fun.

Agreed on the DW Rogue, the other classes just seemed more fun to play. Which is a reversal from DAO, where DW Rogues were my favorite class. With DWers you just have to remember pay more attention to positioning. Mages are my favorite in DAI, but for warriors - I found the Reaver a lot of fun to play. Oddly enough, I tend to skip that spec for Bull as it's not great when left to do their own thing.

You can deactivate and prioritize abilities in the tactics screen for Bull but Reaver requires too much attention to leave it to AI. I suppose that's part of fun of playing a Reaver. But I completely agree with you.

DW are my go to class after mage but they just weren't fun in DAI but you could go with rogue and respec into an archer if it's not working.

Yah, I love that about DA:I's tactics. It's much much more refined than "If X happens, do Y." Now, it's, "Make X a priority, do Y and Z after." I can just remember cringing the first time I went in there, thinking I would mess it up. Then I saw that it was easy peasey. Thanks, I suppose I'll try a Reaver warrior, but no guarantees.

I played a DW/Tempest and didn't have any real problems with the controls. On the contrary, with time everything died very, very fast.

I can sympathize if you're trying the twin fangs move for the first time. It's baffling. The other moves are more satisfying with their auto targeting. If I may recommend something, the whip chain move in the sabotage tree that pulls you to opponents is a good compensator for your melee character.

I played as DW rogue and it wasn´t hard per se. But the way terrain works spoils some fun. At certain places, it´s really tricky to fight due to many terrain obstacles such as roots or stones or stairs. All the times it got in the way of my Twin Fangs...

Interesting to see different points of view. DW Rogue was my first, third and will likely be my fifth playthrough when I get around to it. I had endless fun with it.
It is true, though, that you need to manage them. Can be very squishy. I always had a W&S warrior spamming challenge/war cry (sometimes two of them) and a support mage.
But take Hrungr's advice - Reaver needs LOTS of attention if you're going that route.

DW rogue is my go to in DAO and DA2, but I hated it in DAI. I loved being able to pop up behind the enemy in DA2 (forget the name of the spell) but in DAI you just go right thru them and slice into thin air. Then you have to turn around and run back to the fight. I also spent way too much time doing a little jiggly dance trying to find space to get in and slice up the bad guys, everyone was always in my way and it drove me crazy. I'm on PC by the way, and don't like the controls much so that doesn't help. So now I'm going with archers and mages, anything that can let me stand back and direct the fight instead of being in the fray. Much more chill.

I can't speak to the rogue, since I haven't played one, but I can address the SnS warrior. I found that great fun to play, BUT when it comes to dragon fights I typically let the AI control my PC and I go ranged and control a party member (usually Dorian). Having a screen full of dragon is not fun. (Yes, I know I could use tactical view, but I play on casual and prefer the active combat, or whatever that's called.) I've also found that the AI is pretty good at tanking dragons and uses the tank's skills appropriately for the most part, whereas I want to have more control over my mage's shields and so on.
For any of the melee, the movement is just something you have to get used to. Warriors have various skills to control the battlefield and to move about and get to where they need to be. Probably the biggest struggle in getting used to the controls is in not constantly mashing down the attack button, as this will prevent you from moving because the game will not allow you to move mid-swing.

From what I've been reading, it's the best at tanking abilities. Plus, Reaver is too highly dependent on its health being low. I don't like that. I like to keep everybody topped off.

This is good information. Once I'm done with the Solacemance I think I will need some more dwarf loving. Will try a 2-handed warrior this time.

He was the tank. Cole was my secondary melee with two support mages (Solas and Dorian, usually).
Every now and then I'd swap Cole out for Cassandra and put Sera in for Dorian to keep a rogue in the party, but only when I was having problems with an encounter. Typically that was larger scale battles where there wasn't enough aggro being generated by my warrior to keep the mages safe. This was on normal, though.
