No limit on weapon combos. The most recent IGN video is the perfect demonstration of this since whoever was playing had three assault rifles and one sniper rifle (which also resulted in abysmally long cooldown times). I counted the cooldown time for overload in the IGN video and it was 30 seconds. I believe that whatever choices we make (weapon's weight, ability development etc ) we will never be able to get shorter cooldowns than 9-10 seconds in this game. I personally like this. Space magic is cool but I didn't like seeing players using an ability every 3 seconds. Well, since there seams to be quite margin when it comes to weight, I doubt anyone outside a soldier will have major problems with cool down penalties. Attachment DeletedLooking at this, you can easily carry two weapons (one of which is a heavy shotgun) with plenty of weight to spare...

Yes, you can easily avoid the cooldown penalties but there aren't cooldown bonuses anymore. (recharge speed tops at 100%)

Considering there's abilities that don't have cooldowns at all, I'm sure we can get them lower than 10 and the game is balanced for it. Either way, the cooldowns in the IGN video weren't optimal at all and were akin to level 1 with no points in fitness. You mean the consumables, like mines, grenades etc?

So 2 for starters and 4 if you level up, for every class. That's actually pretty cool! Although I only plan on using one: The Revenant TMHere's a real question: Does anyone know if we can carry 2 different assault rifles? Or 2 different sniper rifles? No limit on weapon combos. The most recent IGN video is the perfect demonstration of this since whoever was playing had three assault rifles and one sniper rifle (which also resulted in abysmally long cooldown times). Waaaaaiiit a minute! Hold the phone! Stop the presses! Does this mean I can bring a revenant, a mattock and the grenade launcher assault rifle, so I have an assault rifle for every range and situation, while ONLY investing in the passive assault rifles? I'm loving this game so much! It's like they went berserk with the combat options! The game will be so much FUN!

You mean the consumables, like mines, grenades etc? There's Nova and Lance that consume shields instead of being on a cooldown (they may need upgrades to do it) And what do you need to replenish the lost shields? Find a cover and stay still. In other words you still need...time. As I said before I like to use the abilities and pull off combos, I'm not an "only weapons" kind of player. I just think that the +200% bonus that ME3 had was over the top. Being able to biotic charge enemies every 4 seconds (and win back your barrier 100% while doing it) cannot be called balanced gameplay.

Gain shields by punching people (vanguard profile ability). Use the shield draining effect that Annihilation seems to have

For my soldier I plan on running two snipers an AR and a pistol eventually. 4 swords or you are a scrub that needs crutches like ranged combat.

Use the shield draining effect that Annihilation seems to have Ok, let's say that once you charge you'll have to wait 15 seconds until your next charge. Does this time feels like a lot to you or not? Also, while Annihilation is active your other two abilities recharge 100-120% slower.

Next question? Haha... I think this kind of equipment only works if employed with that exact facial expression. Otherwise he probably would just keel over.

200%...100%, it's kind of arbitrary. It really depends on how they scale and balance everything. It doesn't matter, I'll always maintain the lightest load-out to ensure best recharge times.

I'm going to take all the Combat Fitness skills that open new weapon slots just so I can bring with a pistol (backup weapon when other 3 weapons run dry),
assault rifle (been my favorite through the Mass Effect trilogy), shotgun (for real up close and personal) and sniper rifle (so I can reach out and touch you).

Four at once! Like it used to be in ME1. I like to think that either the Alliance screwed up and ordered too many weapons for their troops in ME1. Or if you want to get dark... the Alliance briefly operated under an extremely ruthless approach, where the first soldiers on the ground are never expected to survive an engagement. The extra weapons are for the soldiers who replace them, and so on, meaning Alliance forces never have to worry about running out of weapons on the battlefield. But I much more prefer the first one.
