Really excited! Wasn't sure if I should watch it because of spoilers, but then I thought it'll just be the intro we see when launching the game, so I took the chance and it looks pretty good. A nice teaser, before starting in three weeks.

The captain.  Look at that face. I mean honestly, Angrylec, does that look like the face of somebody who is here for your We Must Advance The Plot thing? I think not. Pleaaaase tell me they don't fridge her, so Sara can bounce off of her. Gosh. It's just so pretty, too. I'm actually comforted by the lack of PERFECT OMG animations everywhere. Definitely a Mass Effect game, with the occasional derp going down. It's still so pretty though. Lord. I mean I'm replaying ME right now so maybe it's just the sheer difference, but... also that gif of Dr. Lexi. HAHAHAHA, gorgeous. I can't even. I really hope that's indicative of her personality, because perfect. Really. Yeah, I really like the captain of the Hyperion and hope she plays a decent role in this game. As for Lexi, I think it is. The videos about her talk about how she tries to remain professional but at times it slips. That scene showed that wonderfully. |

Just saw the video. Not bad. It was good to see Earth. New Earth, not so much.

It's going to feel even more distant ( professional?)between you and Dad if you don't choose the default names and he's calling you 'Ryder' all the time too etc. I guess he might slip in a few stern 'son's' or whatever in too - but otherwise  Although since he most likely won't be sticking around much longer than the trip down to Habitat 7, it might not matter much. |

After much thought, I gave in and I watched it. As far as spoilers, not a whole lot is given away. If you've seen all videos prior to this, nothing earth shattering is revealed in this video as far as story is concerned. However, if you want to experience this for the first time playing then avoid watching it. Some key points: Graphics and facial animations were actually quite good. The voice acting was good as well.

Bioware Face syndrome attacks again. God, the face animation is awful. Please its not "Best in Gaming" but awful is way too much.. Please take a look at this.. THAT is what horrible Facial Animation in an RPG looks like... and thats not from 2005 but from 2016.. Compared to this it looks damn amazing.. Awful was a hyperbole. Rather unpleasant is more accurate. Uncanny-valley unpleasant. The running animations were not good as well. These flaws do not degrade the overall quality too much, at least for me. |

Well, I joined the heretics and watched it.
If these 13 minutes are any indication, it's going to be an awesome game to play. I love how everything seems improved, and still looks like Mass Effect. Even the opening titles.
Damn, I thought this would calm my impatience, but only made it worse.

Nice intro. Did give me the me1 vibe and it felt like Mass Effect. Scott, Cora, Alec, Liam, Dr. Lexi all looked good, as did the captain. Music and voice acting was good. I'm encouraged.
