Tone choice? Fallout 4 send its regards

Casual, professional, logical and emotional. Honestly I think that a much better system than paragon/renegade.

I like the father issues that seem to be playing a role in the story. I'll probably roleplay my character with huge resentment towards Alec and only coming on this expedition because of the other sibling going.

Hopefully Fallout 4 keeps itself far away from Andromedas dialogue system. Hmmm, I think I will go with the sarcastic option. Click. "I'LL SEE YOU IN HELL!" Uhmmmm... That was angry. Bethesda totally understands sarcasm.

Now THAT is a preview! I even want to thank IGN for that. I am sold. Not "run and pre-order" sold, but I will buy the game for sure.

Probably for the best, as people are blaming IGN for being heartless with Scott not checking up on Sara.

It's only better if it allows the same scope of choice. I'm still rather worried that there may very well be a lack of range.

The thing was that the old system was very flawed. Every decision had to be categorised as either paragon or renegade, there were no grey areas which made some decisions kinda...off. Remember Legions loyalty mission?


The new system allows for a lot more grey area interactions that are based off of one of the four different response types that would make sense in a given situation. Whereas you used to be either paragon or renegade, the new system essentially allows you to successfully play 'paragade' and 'renegon' as well. 

Its also important to note that some people are afraid that the new options will remove some of the options of the past. The investigate, conversation progression and flirt options still exist. The difference is that what used to be two options (paragon/renegade) are not four options (logical,emotional,casual,professional).

Lastly, it helps remove the whole bipolar thing that would happen with Shepard when you tried to play a mix of paragon and renegade. How he/she would sometimes be super nice to someone before, in the same conversation, screaming at them over a single decision. It was kinda odd.
