Like can we please talk about this? Do you think she will only be there for the first part of the game (with DadRyder) or do you think she will be with us for the whole journey?
My mind is blown away! I'm used to Shepard being BOTH Commander and Captain. Having a different captain in the Tempest would be...fascinating. |

That wasn't the Tempest, that was Ark Hyperion. Ryder will most likely become Captain of the Tempest as the same time they become humanity's new Pathfinder. |

Would've been nice to see the power dynamics in the ship. I guess now it's more Admiral Hackett/Shepard relationship. |

I guess now it's more Admiral Hackett/Shepard relationship. i din't see it this way judging by the latest clip, we actually see the Captain is struggling with Alec and the player's choice in dialogue seems to be part of how this flows. Captain is the leader of the ship, not the mission. The captain probably doesn't have any deep and complex task besides caring for the ship. In the other hand, Alec must find a planet for the ship to land. Since the scourge is something unexpected, they must argue on what is the best course of action, but not about who is in command of the ship. |
