I think BioWare knows how their fanbase gets about romances in their games and are just having a bit of fun with that. They've been known to poke fun at the community every once in a while a little bit, even within the games themselves.

By fanservice do you mean nudity? I doubt there'll be all that much. Your character and their LI probably get naked once or maybe twice, and there won't be much else. Can't see there being any GoT style sexposition.
