The ten hour thing would drive me nuts. I would just as soon play it on the 21st and not have any limits placed on me. That's one reason why I am doing a Shepard trilogy playthrough right now. It help gets the edge off and I am still playing Mass Effect.

I'm tempted to pre-order for PC and XB1 - I've seen others do PC and PS4. Is the reason to play MP on console? Or what? I'm used to playing the ME series on console, but, have a good PC too. As I've said in other threads, I'm used to the 30fps look. I've watched the 60fps vids and it doesn't seem like ME to me. LOL.

Well I mean, I get access on the 16th and the game releases like 4 days later if you use VPN. I think Im gonna play 10 hours of the story then fill the next 4 days by watching other people play it (talking to friends about it too).

Yeah that would drive me nuts. I know with certain franchises like ME when I get a new game in that franchise I do not want to put it down for that first week or so when I am experiencing my first two playthroughs. I will burn those first ten hours up fast and probably right around the time my character starts coming into their own and the story starts to gain momentum and then to be told "nope you are going to have to wait four more days before you can continue".

Not me. I plan on playing around in the CC a bit to get in mind some ideas for the actual game, and then probably play the first few hours twice as Scott and Sarah to see which sibling I prefer. That way I'll also not get too much further than what we know from the articles.

I don't have EA Access yet, but I'm going to pick it up this month specifically to play MEA on the 16th. I have a full-time job and am a full-time graduate student with 9 credit-hours this semester, so the 10 hour limit won't bother me too much, as I only have about 1-2 hours per night to play video games anyway, and not every night either. I'm mostly playing early to avoid spoilers online. And because any amount of time early is good.

Only because I tend to do everything. I'm well over 100 hours on DAI and I still need to play Trespasser. If you plow through the story, it won't take nearly as long.

If you do every single thing in the game you might hit 100 hours, for me I won't be able to hit that until 2 or 3 playthroughs.

One of the devs said if you do the main campaign as quickly as you can then it would be 15-20hours.

Not gonna wait, but I can use the 10h strategically so I don't starve.

I can start pre-loading on the 17th according to Origin. 55 GB will take me 2 days (yes my internet sucks), so on Sunday the 19th I will have 10h to play, which is about as much time as I can put in a video game on a single day without overdosing. On Monday the 20th I get back from work pretty late, so I wouldn't play much anyways, even if I could (but maybe I have 1-2 hours left from the sunday). On the 21st is release day so I get access again. It will be just fine.

it's much better on console because the low framerate (capped at 15) makes it more cinematic. also on console you can use the analogue sticks to aim, much easier and better and more fun and immersive than using a mouse to aim. console offers much better gaming experience.

why would you have zero expectations? aron flin and mac walters and mike gamble are the best game makers, they create the best games with the best stories. mass effects 1 to 3 were the best games ever, this game will be just as good if not much better. i trust bioware, they've never let me down. makes no sense to be expecting the worst, these guys always make top notch games.
