One of my favorite moments in the entire Dragon Age franchise is in Origins -- right before you enter the tower for the final battle, you can only control yourself but all your party members are around fighting. There was also the attack at camp although that was rather quick.
That was amazing because that was the time that you din't just feel you brought three with you at a time but that your entire party was behind you.
DA2 had something similar for its final battle, with characters like Zevran, Cullen, Carver, Donnic, Nathaniel, even goddamn Samson could be an ally at the fight.
Inquisition dropped the ball after that god-awesome trailer where all your partymates are fighting demons to not have a scene where everyone battling. Like that was just a missed opportunity

Granted MET never had a moment like this in the core trilogy. But it does more than make-up for it in the Citadel DLC. Team Hammerhead? Team Mako? Team Prothean!
I wish we had a scene with all party members in the game. Don't you?

Of course. Sometime a squad of 3 makes sense. Quite often it does not and the game has to invent one contrived reason after another to keep that number down.
And while I can understand the playable squad being 3 for gameplay/balance reasons, it makes no sense that the rest of your team would just do nothing in many scenarios.

Mass Effect 2 did it best I can't remember? Suicide mission. It was epic indeed. I was quite shocked and disappointed that we didn't get anything similar in ME3, it would fit very well in there. All your loyal squaddies fighting again by your side for the last time. Well... let's hope Andromeda has something for us. Also, I know people get butthurt if anyone mentions W3 here, but they did have a great fight there with the whole team. Very epic.

The Suicide Mission and Citadel DLC had the best squad moments involving fighting imo. I would love that in MEA!

Literally just finished the citadel dlc about 5 mins ago. It is a great mission something like that would be cool definitely.

I would say yes. I agree that was an epic moment in the Citadel DLC, but I'm also with the people saying that the more rewarding experience was from the ME2 Suicide Mission. I really hope there is something similar in MEA where previous choices and in-the-moment decisions have a big impact on how the mission goes. More than just "this person was not loyal so they die" type of thing, but something a bit more nuanced.

I want to have one mission where I send my whole team on one mission just at the time the collectors attack my ship and take it over. At no other time will I send my whole crew on shore leave, only when the Kett decide to board the nexus. Then we can play as the Salarian dealing with our new ship AI to save us.

Should be less of a hassle now that we only have 6 teammates.

Yeah since we have only 6 companions they should be able to do something like this. Also I would like it if during normal gameplay there was story stuff where your other 4 party members are off doing stuff not just sitting back in the shop twittling their thumbs waiting for you to pick them.

I'd love to see like they did with the suicide mission in 2 or when they all come together for the Citadel shore leave mission in 3. That second one was my favorite. I loved how they showed the camaraderie through the light banter and how they all supported Shep toward the end from the balcony.
There were a few times throughout the trilogy, when you'd be talking to a squadmate after a mission and they spoke like they'd been there when they weren't. If I recall, it was most notable in ME1. I don't know if the idea was to pretend they were there or it was just an oversight.
