This is somewhat a ME2 and ME3 reference. Did anyone notice the reflection of the Husk looking creature in the Master Sargeant's helmet glass at the end of the last episode? The first thing I thought of was the indoctrinated human Husks.
The reapers are on The Expanse!?!

Saw my mom watching that show once and immediately told her it looked like a knock off of one of my "dumb videogames". P;
I know that sci-fi draws a lot of inspiration from itself, but there were a ton of striking parallels even in the costume and ship design.
edit;; I also noticed some voice actors from the Mass Effect trilogy. Admiral Shala'Raan I think it was?

It does have a Mass Effect prequel feel to it. If there was ever a Mass Effect movie or TV show, these would be the guys I would hire to run it. that and all of the creators and writers of The Expanse all admitted to being gigantic mass effect nerds & fans.  |

Season 1 had a lot of genuine science in it. Now its going full on sci-fi and its pretty good IMHO. Season 2 - I think that when Eros crashed into Venus, it more or less seeded it and made it the home planet for a new species that Miller and Juliette are probably "alive" and are the symbiotic "leaders" of that new race. |

Just started watching The Expanse a few days ago, binge watched the first season in one day it was so damn good. I'm glad I'm not the only one that was reminded of Mass Effect while watching this show. Ceres and really any belter location reminds me of Omega and the Citadel. (Although Ceres always reminds me first and foremost of Ceres Station in Super Metroid...) I've watched a few episodes from season 2 but I'm trying to pace myself so I can continue to enjoy this show for a while longer.
HIGHLY recommend people check this show out if you haven't already.

The Director and Writer of both Guardians of the Galaxy movies has professed his boundless affection for Mass Effect as well. When asked on Twitter what his plans for the summer were, he said they were to pet his dog, kiss his girlfriend, and play Mass Effect Andromeda. Eeee.  As for the Expanse, if you're not watching season two, you really should be. Shit is getting bonkers. |
