For those who aren't sure what I'm referring to, look below in my signature line. Back in the dark days of the original BSN, GuyBlade put together a little program that would scrape info from the N7HQ and display in a concise and easy to read format. It made it easy to see someones experience at a glance without having to hunt through the N7HQ. The one downside is that every time Bioware tweaks something on their servers, it breaks the coding for the info scrapes. When that happened, GuyBlade would fix it and get it back going. He drifted away for the forms, but would check in on the badge thread every so often and make sure it was still working. As time went on and signature links were banned from the old BSN, fixes became longer and farther between. Not that I'm criticizing him, five years is a long time to support something, especially when you did it for free and are hosting it yourself. Shortly after the forums closed, they went down again and there was no way to let him know. However, just today I posted a comment and what should appear back in my signature line? All of my pretty badges! And just in time, as I unlocked my last UR today. If anyone is feeling nostalgic or just likes the look of them, the link to the generator is below. Just follow the instruction on the page and you can have some pretty badges of your very own! One word of caution: It would behoove you to save a static image of the banners if you want them continuing forward. There are links for each badge to keep them updated with the latest stats, but if and when Bioware inevitably tweaks they servers again, it will break and there will be no information for it to display. I kicked myself for not saving the images last time they where up and was sure to do that first thing when I saw they were back. Anyways, wall of text later, I hope this is informative and any if any of the old BSN crowd happen to know GuyBlade outside the forums, please tell him that I for one still greatly appreciate his efforts and invite him to stop by the new forums. www.blade.io/me3/

Part shameless bump, part I'm actually curious and couldn't find an answer in an existing thread. How do you get the full frame profile picture or is that something that only mods have? Also, where are people getting the custom player cards that reassemble the player cards in the multiplayer lobbies? Is there a generator somewhere to create one or are they all custom made by someone?

I periodically check that the badges still work (when I remember that they exist). I've recently started playing ME:A MP again, so I found this ancient post. If they break again, I have an account here now.

I'm glad to see that there is still love for ME3 Multi-Player. I still play the game on a daily. Something about MP and ME1 and 2 just keep pulling me back.
Thank you for your dedication and helping to keep the game alive!

So, I happened to look in my server logs and see that these were broken again--and probably had been for many months. They are now fixed, as of about 5 minutes ago.
Ugly details of why they broke, are below
After far more poking around than I'd like to admit, I realized things were broken because mysql added system as a reserved work in mysql 8. Around 8 months ago, I migrated my machine to the newest mysql, but didn't spot the breakage of this particular service.
The badge system has an internal cache to reduce load (on both my system and the manifest pages). That cache is stored in mysql, and one of the relevant columns there is "system" (as in PC, PS3, &c.). Since "system" became a reserved word, all of my existing queries broke. Unfortunately, the breakage didn't actually manifest as a log message saying "you're attempting to use a reserved word as an identifier"; it instead manifested as random queries returning false (at the webserver level) or with threads dying randomly (in the backend that handles flow management because if you throw an exception in a thread in python, the thread dies, but the exception and its message are lost).
Ironically, I ran into this same problem when I originally migrated the mysql server, but with something unrelated--a stored procedure of another database that had a column named "system". That prevented me from migrating at all--until I fixed it--but the ME3 badges error was silent (at least when I'm not reading logs daily).

I remember these. Never really understood them to be honest, but just thinking of them reminded me of simpler and happier days.
Thanks for maintaining your project. It was very popular in this game's heydey.
