Anyone starting to get an unhealthy obsession about Andromeda?

Yeah I'm close to finishing my trilogy play through. Was hoping that would last up till launch but I got too into it so it's not going to.

I've booked the 23rd, 24th and 27th off work so I've got 5 solid days to go at it.

I'm ready!

Starting? I've been obsessed about Mass Effect since the first game!

I just remind myself on the 12th the clocks move forward, so it'll be 1 less hour of waiting.

Nope. However, despite my skepticism/cynicism about ME:A I am starting to think I will pick it up at some point as the recent 'first 13 minute' video did look good. Still going to wait for reviews though.

Yeah I have watched the 16 min of the opening of the game WAY to many times now. Luckily I just got Horizen Zero Dawn and that is keeping me kinda distracted.

Yep! Ever since the first ME game I've taken 1-3 days off of work on release day. It'll be later that week because I have to wait for the mail to deliver my game from Amazon on the 21st. Then install on the PSPro, then download the day 1 patch, download the pre-order bonuses, etc...

I have a wife, 3 kids, a full time job, teach BodyPump classes on the side, so my gaming time is a premium. Needless to say I will sleep very little for 4 days and I'll love every minute of exploring... As long as I don't spend too much time in the CC

Ah it's just fine. There are worst thing to be obsessed for....politics, booze, sex, et cetera et cetera et cetera...

I can quit anytime I want, I swear. Stop whining.

Does following three twitter dev feeds, two Mass Effect Youtubers, these boards and also now dreaming about the game count as being in too deep?

ME1 - Was nothing, I was a high school student unaware of the series
ME2 - Was unhealthy obsession, I may have suffered from it, but I was young
ME3 - Was healthy obsession, I think I handled it fine, even while in college

MEA - Healthy or unhealthy focus, but not obsession. I'm not doing the best right now, but I can right this direction and hopefully won't be glued to the screen when the game releases.

I'm not exactly thinking about the game every day, so that's already a movement away from obsession.

But sure, I go on here sometimes, see every new bit of news, and subscribe to Youtubers.

This is fun. I like this.

ME1&2 - I was on a faraway school for a year which was all fun and games. We had to stay in our dormitories to do homework for an hour every tuesday, so I'd boot up my shitty laptop and play some Mass Effect. I also did homework of course. I didn't think much of them at first except ME2 felt so good to play so I wanted to get to that. Eventually me and a buddy played ME2 side-by-side on a holiday so ME2 = best year + holiday, friendships etc. for me. I can't deny that adds a lot of extraneous value to these games.

ME3 - I played it late in highschool (I never know if it's actually high school or college; works different in my country. I was 18 is all you need to know). Was super disappointed and the ending left me ruminating about it constantly as I had to embark on a trip to Madrid with the whole class the morning after I beat it and stay there for a week. One dude told me I sure mentioned the game a lot and I was like "yeah, I know, I can't seem to let go of it lol". School life was also extra stressful so that blissful escape into Mass Effect was so hampered by how un-Mass-Effect this game felt to me.
