Anyone starting to get an unhealthy obsession about Andromeda?

12 hours? Amateur!

Yeah it has picked up in the last couple of weeks with all the new videos bioware has been releasing. Been a long five years. That said I had it worse during the trilogy. I was really obsessed back then.

I think the hype just hit me tonight after I finally pre-ordered MEA on PC.

It's been a long time since ME3, it feels like a different lifetime to me.

I only discovered the series when ME2 came out, so I played ME1 in March 2010 and ME2 in June 2010. From that point on, I got fixed onto the forums, waiting impatiently for ME3. I was pretty hyped, the most I had ever been for a video game. And for the most part, ME3 didn't disappoint and was worth the hype.

That was back in Grade 10 for me. I was such a different person back then, and so much has changed. I barely play video games anymore, I'm in university now studying aerospace engineering (thank BioWare for filling my head with dreams of space in KOTOR and Mass Effect!), I have many more social commitments. My lifestyle has totally changed since then.

And yet, with Mass Effect Andromeda, I can't help but feel I am going back in time, in a good way of course. Going back to a simpler time when I could lock myself in my room for days on end playing ME1 through ME3. Going back to a funner time when real life stuff was so far away and didn't matter as much.

BioWare has been my time sink and has had my great admiration since I was a 7 year old playing KOTOR. They are about the only thing that has remained constant throughout my childhood and adulthood. And for that, I am really grateful. Their games have given me solace in tough times, and always made me push myself to be the best of myself that I could be, whether it's for school, social activities, etc.

And in two weeks time, it'll be time to dive right back in to a brand new adventure. One that feels new and fresh, yet oddly familiar. It's a type of experience I've had before, and one I can't wait to have again. On the outside, I feel cautiously happy, since I still have school work to hand in and other adult stuff to deal with.

But the kid on the inside can't stop smiling, waiting for a chance to continue a journey that began long ago ...

In other words, I'm ready for you, Mass Effect Andromeda. Can't wait to play, and I know you won't disappoint

I know I'm obsessed. I plan on not leaving the house for a few days.

Well, not in such a grave manner, as I cannot afford due to... well, just, life, really. But I have taken a little time off work, and do spend a lot of time thinking about MEA.

Same here. It has gotten to the point where I go to hit the sack and instead of falling asleep, i grab my phone and start googling ME:A stuff and watching videos about it for 2+hrs sometimes leaving me with 4 hrs of sleep for a full day of work...

But i wouldnt have it any other way

p.s. would love to have some origin buddies to play the mp with. add?

While opening a video (Mass Effect review by Zero Punctuation) --- YouTube played the Mass Effect gameplay ad! One of the few YouTube ads I watched til the end.

well I'm working overtime right now just so I can take a few days off when the game releases....so yea pretty hyped..wouldn't call it obsession though :-)
Just replayed the OT, hoped it would last me till release, but unfortunatly no (finished it last weekend), but can't get myself to start another game knowing it wíll be benched when ME:A hits....

No problems to report here ... everything's under control.

I faked my own murder at a construction site to free up time to play this.

So I guess that's a maybe?

I can't even escape being a Pathfinder at Uni, how can I not be obsessed??
