I suspect they were considered an enemy by the time the Initiative left our galaxy so it makes sense for them not being there. Although less common I think a group of adventurous Quarians joining the Initiative is less of a stretch. However you never know maybe a couple of these Quarians could have Geth inside their suits or maybe can recreate them in Andromeda. You should never leave hope.

The Quarians obtained some information from Geth activities. Why the Geth are mentioned? Because they are the Chekhov's Gun. Their technology and their intentions to build themselves mass relays can be potentially used in the future to conect Andromeda with the Milky Way in future games. Why Geth are mentioned but Elcor, Volus, Hanar, Vorcha don't appear at all in the promotional material? Because Geth will be back  |

But considering they supposedly cut a Salarian squadmate from development I doubt they have any "release" DLC squadmates planned. I do think that adding a Quarian squaddie along with a DLC involving the Turian Ark is a possibility, but I wouldn't expect it to come out for a while. |
