This has probably been asked elsewhere but do we get access to pre-order/digital deluxe items in this early access? Assuming you pre-order before the 16th It was confirmed by Fernando Melo a few days ago that the bonus items will be available in the Trial: alskdjfhg @laksjdhfg01928 Feb 27@tibermoon @gamblemike If we preorder Deluxe edition, will our deluxe and/or preorder content be available in the EA Access 10 hour trial? It better not be 10 hours of the very first planet(habitat 7), as i recall from the previews, that ends pretty quickly, so thats like saying "you can play 10 hours of Eden Prime, enjoy." Heh.

Yep. It's going to be really lame if the gating is almost immediate. Hopefully, the first planet is relatively large. Otherwise, we are almost going to be forced into doing MP.Maybe you'll even like it! I'd like to. I found ME3 MP to be rather redundant and generic, since it resembled so many other multiplayer modes from other games. At the very least, the combat is improved and it looks like multiplayer should be a lot of fun. I'll give it an honest shot, especially since it's tied into the single player anyway. It better not be 10 hours of the very first planet(habitat 7), as i recall from the previews, that ends pretty quickly, so thats like saying "you can play 10 hours of Eden Prime, enjoy." Heh. I don't think that would classify as the "first planet" as it's more of a tutorial. That certainly wasn't the case for DAI, which allowed players to go all the way to the Hinterlands, which wasn't the first area by any means. |

I think it means the first OW planet after the prologue, which I think is Elanden. So its the Hinterlands equivalent. |

So let me get this straight people, before the DAI game came out, you had 10 hours of pre play in the zone everyone now apparently hates, and you still bought the game afterwards? It didnt give you any warning signs? Or did you just grow to hate the game later from the wholeness of the total experience?

I'm just hoping the first planet we go to is diverse, large, and very interesting. I'd like to get lost in it and take in the entire exploration experience of the game. I wanted DAI to do that for me as well, but it struggled for varying reasons. Hopefully, BioWare got that balance down this time around. |

I'll be playing both SP and MP anyway I may dabble in MP, but I'd rather dedicate a majority of my time getting familiar with the new controls. Who knows what the netcode is going to be like for MEA during early access. Between the tech test being cancelled and the fact that MEA is using a peer to peer system, my expectations are incredibly low for the online experience early on. |

A lot of the complaining early on was because people stayed and tried to clear the area rather than moving on and going back. So it could get a bit boring. You could open it up and leave quite quickly in the full game. |

The problem is that it's one of the largest areas in the game and the amount of content is overwhelming. It takes forever to clear everything, and for some folks being thrown into that so early on into the game was a bit unnerving. It would have been far better off had BioWare managed the amount of content you could consume at a more reasonable pace. We already know with MEA that the game will work dynamically to make sure you never feel overwhelmed and will never give you more than you can handle at a time. |

As I remember, DAI 6 hours free trial. I had spent 2-3 hours on charater creation and around 1 hour for delete/create/delete/create delete and create again.
(BTW, I love hinterlands)

I remember the devs posting a prompter after about a week from release of DAI to urge people to go past the Hinterlands and return as needed. People were obsessively scouring the first zone and going mad on crafting materials and every side quest.Possibly people spent too long there before progressing and recall that negative side of their experience. As I recall, it was a beautiful, huge, rich level. I loved it. |
