So they showed off all those planets. Do our actions during the game influence which world we will make "New Earth"?

They call habitat 7 new Earth so it looks like they may have been at least provisionally assigned to species. But I imagine that will change through the course of the game.

I kind of got the impression you can colonize many of them.

I kind of got the impression that Habitat 7 (new earth) wasn't actually going to be habitable and we would be somewhat forced to find a way to colonize one of the other habitats... probably involving sharing a colony/planet with at least one other species.

Based on what we know of the story, Habitat 7 isn't the "golden world" we thought it was. Will we actually be able to determine where humanity ultimately settles down? I doubt it. I'm sure you can have settlements on every planet, but likely only BioWare would determine "New Earth" for story reasons. Otherwise, doing a sequel would be difficult if there are several potential planets the player could mark as "New Earth."

I highly doubt habitat 7 as they call it will be habitable, especially with that lighting space cloud near it, and so we will go down to the planet or the tutorial planet which I am sure it will end up being. Find out that its not habitable, forced to leave and forced to find a new planet for the people that is still frozen

I imagine it would be based on which planets the other species have settled/have decided to settle. Its also possible that we'll just make small colonies alongside the other species assuming the planet suits us too.

Find out that its not habitable, forced to leave and forced to find a new planet for the people that is still frozen I was thinking possibly we find out the cloud is a creation of the kett or something they've caused somehow and the main course of the game is to find a way to get rid of it to make habitat 7 habitable. Could be miles away though!

Habitat 7 may or may not end up becoming the Golden World since it hard to say whether or not it can fixed or not because but I doubt we'd get to choose the world ourselves, if say for sequel purposes the New Earth has to be set in stone by the writers not the players
Too many variables lead to plot holes and inconsistency later down the line

If I remember right, it was mentioned that we'll be able to colonize several planets, but not all of them, since the amount of colonists is limited. As above mentioned there needs to be one "canon" world with humans (or all of them), so probably one of colonies will be mandatory.

Otherwise, doing a sequel would be difficult if there are several potential planets the player could mark as "New Earth." I'm think that unlocking the secret of the vaults is the key to either 1) Habitat 7 suddenly becoming habitable or 2) unlocking another totally different planet that is the final designated "New Earth" location.

I'm sure you can have settlements on every planet, but likely only BioWare would determine "New Earth" for story reasons. Otherwise, doing a sequel would be difficult if there are several potential planets the player could mark as "New Earth." At least according to the first 11 minutes anyway... They start it out by stating that world is Habitat 7 and is surrounded by this shroud. I surmise the next thing that happens is we go planet side encounter the Remnant who then spurns the Archon into contact and so the story begins. Cliche but hope it works.
I actually think that we may actually get to choose where humanity will settle in the end. I DO NOT MEAN that we get a plethora of worlds to choose where humanity can fall into safe harbor but maybe down to 2-4 worlds to choose from. This game is supposed to be a complete story with a complete ending -according to Bioware anyway. That does not mean a sequel may not happen; -just does not mean that it will be a direct continuation from ME:A. I am already getting the dreaded inkling that ME:A is following the Dragon Age style: Player character story is done by each game end but in the next game they make an appearance be it in speech or visual to continue connectivity. As much as it may feel awkward; make sense they would follow this path though... makes it easier to tell more stories -that while separate can still be connected.

Well there are 7 potential golden worlds. Habitat 7 is the most promising from early scannings from the Milky Way so it's the first target for the AI. It's a tropical paradise according to that. But we already know that the AI gets there and then: "-No way this is home!" because shit happens. World is toxic, scourge everywhere, remnants etc... Thus i believe we get to know all planets, set outposts on them, and maybe at the end of the game we stablish one of them as new Earth, or maybe none at all, it depends on how the story unfolds. Maybe we go into that black hole and discover a wormhole which leads to another cluster in andromeda
