Which type of PUG player you are?

The PUG life can be hard, but Goddamn it I'm an idealist at heart!

I play pretty much only Gold and you need to be somewhat selective. Non use of gear slots is a very obvious indicator that a Gold PUG match will fall apart. Even if I'm using a kit that can carry, I still don't want to risk host bailing or spending 40+ minutes on a Gold game.

Terminator aka. "Miss/Mister Scorewhore of the Citadel" - very good player who soled many platinum games. Likes to pug just to show randoms their place in food chain. Kills everything in sight and pugs as well (if they happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time).

Shy - Is not confidend about his/her skill so s/he pugs to learn something from others.

Troll - usualy creates alt account to pug gold and platinum with fresh manifest. Enjoys pug screams and tears when s/he outscores them in the end.

I voted Traveller, I play for fun and I don't care if the entire team sucks because then I have a good story to tell on the Last Pug Thread.

Though perhaps it's a good thing my mic doesn't work ingame because when I was playing Gears of War 4 I would scream at people so much the neighbors thought there was domestic violence going on up here, but I wasn't even mad I was having the time of my life channelling my inner Sam Kinison

I would say I am a bit of everything listed in the poll.....it more or less depends on what the match needs me to be. If it requires me to go full blown Kobe mode and score like crazy, I will to get us thru the match. If someone is having a really difficult time staying on their feet, I will do my best to revive them, when possible but they need to learn how to rely on themselves. I don't kick...ever, even with the most ridiculous setups imaginable because like you OP, I am a scientist so I have to see those setups in action. Depending what time of the playing session I am in, I would prefer faster matches cuz I am most likely about to go to bed after the 2nd or 3rd match. I am a PUG lifer so I am always running into new people and thats always been interesting to me. Overall, I adapt to what each match needs me to do.

More idealist than anything else on the list.

Challenge and variety are most important. Good team play and themed games are good.

Optimal kits on gold are boring, less so on plat.

not sure about those options. picked soloer, even though im terrible at the game. my style is to launch every single game as a solo and leave the game on public to allow others to join. i dont revive, and sometimes i dont do objectives. i'll happily quit the game on wave 10 if i feel like i haven't played well enough to deserve an extraction. i'll almost never let pugs revive me, using a gel each time i go down, as if i were soloing. i dont care about my teammates and see them as nothing more than meat for the enemies to devour.

I chose DJ. I leave lobbies if there aren't any turians and can't stay interested in the game if I'm not playing a turian, regardless of difficulty or anything else. So I think my pug species/sub type would be Space Racist.

I almost went for Idealist, but DJ comes a bit closer to the real deal:

I always play Unknown/Unknown on Gold choosing kits and guns based on current challenge progress. Fun is the most important thing here, so I'll play a Human Vanilla Vanguard or a Phoenix Vanguard off-host if I feel like it. Non-OP kits are mandatory on Gold.
I also won't kick newbies or people without equipment, but if I'm in a lobby and it looks like I would have to carry hard, I usually just leave 'cause I don't like currying.

For Platinum I only have a select few kits I feel comfortable enough with, mostly 2 characters per class.

Our @thetechnoturian is actually Marauder Shields in the flesh. It is complicated how we get there, so bear with me.

In game, despite savage dance moves, the Techno Turian at the club is a Saren aficionado. We never knew it, but he was Reaper-ized. Still has the savage moves, but now with Terminator intent.

When TTT played her SP run, in the encounter with Marauder Shields something strange occurred. Stumbling towards MS with her Carnifex, the TTT was suddenly washed in beats, drum machines and synthesizers... And was possessed.
