Speaking of 'mobiles'; No Man's Sky just got a vehicle update: I'm still planning to get this game someday. All the updates look great, and my expectations aren't high. Being able to pick it up for $10 off craigslist is totally worth the mindless exploration.

wish it had the batmobile's gun. Would be nice for takedown assists, but oh well. Maybe DLC? It might be worth playing when it's had another year or so of development and the game is heavily discounted. I would never pick it up otherwise as it just has too many flaws.

They look kinda similar, make similar noises, and handle similarly in their standard driving mode.
Key difference is the lack of a battle mode, or any kind of weapons. I don't mind the batmobile, in fact Rocksteady clearly put a shit ton of work into it, but that ended up making the game rely on it too heavily. I don't think the Nomad will do this, at least not for combat scenarios, considering how good the combat in Andromeda looks, and how the Nomad cannot participate in it. It will probably be a crutch during exploration though.

I always planned to get it, but never did after the launch debacle. If it ends up becoming an amazing game at a lower price, I can't see any reason not to get it.

I know some people wanted a weapon on the Nomad but Im kinda glad it doesn't have one. The Mako was notorious at making certain sections of the game insanely easy. The only thing that stopped people from using it all the time was the fact that most the missions were in areas inaccessible to the Mako. With Andromeda, a large amount of the games combat is outside and if you gave the Nomad a main gun...it'd make combat laughably easy unless the enemy had similar vehicles.
If they DID have similar vehicles, I would be more ok with it.

If it ends up becoming an amazing game at a lower price, I can't see any reason not to get it. 'Early adopters' really got the worst deal; they already invested dozens of hours into what's revealed at this point to be an early access title. Now the game even looks better (much better), the UI has been overhauled, and the gameplay is quite a bit more interesting; but precisely the people who followed the pre-release hype, etc., won't get to enjoy any of that. I received it as a present after release; it's great for keeping one's hands busy while listening to a podcast or an audiobook or something.
