I don't know if it was intentional or not, but the way the Nomad handles reminds me a lot of Batman Arkham Knight's Batmobile. It's large. It's fast. It's built for all-terrain situations and is highly adaptable. Other than not having weapons, it's a moving behemoth that you can customize and upgrade over time, just like the Batmobile. I actually don't mind these similarities, as I thought the Batmobile was a lot of fun to drive and upgrade.

Yep, seeing it. Now if only the Nomad had weps. That would be amazing! It doesn't need a tank mode, like the Batmobile, but at least a main gun would be nice! I always loved doing takedowns with the Batmobile doing an assist! One of the coolest things I've ever seen in any video game.

The Batmobile was nice and all; but they simply abused vehicular combat in Arkham Knight, and that was one of the reasons why it ended up a disappointment for me (and many others).

It looks like the no-weapon Mako to me. :/
The latest IGN video even reinforced that impression. It's just less bouncy while being much better at scaling slopes.

Tank mode was overused. It was a fun feature that I definitely enjoyed, but Rocksteady relied way too much on it. However, pursuit mode was always a blast for me in Arkham Knight. Being able to thrust through the busy streets of Gotham City and chase down enemy cars on the move was a dream come true for me.

I was actually a bit surprised how bouncy it was in that IGN video. It wasn't over-the-top like the Mako, but I would have assumed such a heavy vehicle wouldn't rock back and forth so much. Perhaps those are just low gravity planets? Either way, I was mostly impressed by what I saw in that video. Road kill is always fun!

Though one thing that diminished my enjoyment of car chases was how utterly destructive the Batmobile was; it felt like I was doing more damage to the city than the bad guys. Also the streets weren't really busy, as the city was evacuated -- another factor that really hurt the game, I think. I feel like the Riddler racing tracks were a little over the top as well. I have to say, though, I really liked driving the 1989 Tim Burton Batmobile (the only bit of DLC I bought); that was the first film I'd ever seen in a theater, and I was a huge fan.

I'm bringing Tony Hawk Pro Skater to Mass Effect!!! Agreed. I have to say, though, I really liked driving the 1989 Tim Burton Batmobile (the only bit of DLC I bought); that was the first film I'd ever seen in a theater, and I was a huge fan. In fairness, a lot of the destruction could be avoided as long as you didn't purposely run into things. I actually made an effort to try to avoid causing too much damage, which made driving a bit more engaging and challenging. I wasn't referring so much to there being a lot of civilians around (obviously there were out), but the amount of mercs and criminals you could find in some parts of the city. I agree the Riddler tracks were rather silly and lackluster. I enjoyed all the various Batmobiles you could drive in the game. I always wanted the ability to drive every single one, and the Tim Burton Batmobile was definitely one of the highlights out of all of them. Rocksteady really did a great job recreating all of those Batmobiles as well as their accompanying Bat suits.

Remember that old issue of DC comics where The Penguin got ran over by Batman in his fucking tank?...
No but I found the tank/batmobile bits to be some of the worst parts of Arkham Knight. Its one of those things which sounds awesome on paper, but just doesnt work all that well in reality. See when i think of Batman i think of a detective, martial artist etc.. not a tank commander. The batmobile was only ever a point A to B transportation, idk why Rocksteady made it take up so much of the game. A big mistake there.
Regarding Andromeda, i hope it avoids such pitfalls with the Nomad. See the Nomad could easily become like the Arkham Knight batmobile/tank. I think the Nomad should rather be a tool in your arsenal, a tool in your utility belt as it were~, and not an integral linchpin of gameplay. Thats gonna get repetitive, all meh and old quick if it is so. Hopefully they can avoid that.

Thats gonna get repetitive, all meh and old quick if it is so. Hopefully they can avoid that. While some of your criticisms are valid under certain circumstances, they don't really pertain to Batman Arkham Knight. As I'm sure you are well aware, Gotham City was entirely under siege by Scarecrow and Arkham Knight with tanks and a heavily armored militia. Batman wasn't about to take his normal Batmobile for a stroll to overcome those odds. He needed a tank, as he was actually taking on a private army. Nothing about what Rocksteady did undermines that quintessential Batman experience, as the detective aspects, martial arts, stealth and predator elements, and overall epicness of Batman are still intact. I do agree the tank mode, in particular, was overused. The Nomad should enhance the gameplay, but not entirely come to define it to the point it becomes redundant and tedious.

I wouldn't mind. Out of all the imaginary vehicles I've driven, that one made me feel the least inept.
Only by degrees, though. I really hope they don't over use it as much as Arkham Knight did.

Since it has no other purpose besides protection and transporting, I believe it will be largely optional for the most part. Controls shouldn't be a problem since we're driving in a vast world not a narrow city street. We don't have a main gun, so I don't think you have anything to worry about! I'm actually looking forward to going off road and doing some flips! yeah I see big similarities but batmobile is armed this is biggest difference. now funny opposition thing. Batman = unarmed batmobile = Heavy Armed Andromeda Inc. = crew Heavy Armed = Nomad unarmed As long as I can boost off of mountains and run over virtually everything, that's okay! I'll have a great time without a main gun!
