From the very little we have seen so far, MEAMP maps seem to have more open spaces as well as more verticality in terms of mobility. Given those two factors, I believe melee is going to be more situational than in ME3MP. I presume non-Biotic Charge full-melee builds don't look very promising, at least from what we have seen thus far. If space jumping is even going to be a big part of MP then I believe it would be an advantage for melee builds. Can you imagine an enraged Krogan plunging to the ground in your vicinity? That's a pants-peeing level of terror. And "Monster" banner users will always find ways to close horizontal gaps. "Oh there's a brute blocking an appetizing cluster of mooks. I think I'll just casually leap over him and murderface them all." |
