Eh, I don't think "glowing orb that vaguely represents a brain" is something specifically attributed to Avengers.
The "We have a Krogan" thing, on the other hand...
I didn't hate the line though, if I'm being honest. Felt appropriate, if nothing else, considering what we know about Krogan. They basically are like frog Hulks.

Would've preferred a robo-waifu, though. And not in the retro 1950s robot style, like EDI. That was... out of place, just in terms of the artistic design. Mass Effect seems like something that would lend itself well to having very humanoid looking AI, if they were to ever get a body. Something like Ex Machina, or Aegis in the Persona series (in a non anime aesthetic, obviously).
