Do you like Mass Effect?

Mass Effect is awesome! My Love forever!

No I hate it I just decided to sign up to an official forum and then when it closed down sign up to an unofficial forum because I enjoy torturing myself.

People can't understand the idea of a series having multiple games and some fans not liking every part of it... or criticism. I love Mass Effect, particularly 1 and 2 and some of 3, but what is Mass Effect as a whole right now? Of the released products for me it's 2 games worth of pure joy and 1 game of bitter disappointment and then there's an upcoming one that I hope is good but I haven't had that "awe" moment strike me yet. So I'm here as someone who has a very strong attatchment to the series and I think I'm in it for the long haul unless Andromeda is bad to a point where I can't finish it (which I simply doubt)

So, my vote is "it's a good series that's going downhill" but that may change with Andromeda.

Initially when it was ME1 vs Witcher 1 I was a ME fan, but then W2 happened and while ME2 is a fantastic game Witcher 2 is better to me. Then Witcher 3 crushed it and the ending of ME3 fell flat and actually hurt my love for the series as a whole. I like it... but it's definitely lost some prestige in my eyes over the years. It's a solid series, but Witcher is still my fav between the two.

We'll see what Andromeda does to change my opinion or not. I suspect it won't, but who knows.

yeah it's a masterpiece for me too one of my favourite series of games and the new one looks pretty decent as well. To quote a good friend who unfortunately is no longer with us Zaeed would say "BRING IT ON YOU SON OF A BITCH!"

I really prefer Dragon Age, I only play Mass Effect because I mainly play RPGs games and at best there's 3 RPG type games released during very good years.
One of the saving grace is the gameplay, it's pretty fun .

I don't like the direction were heading for, but it's still good.

There really should've been a "flawed masterpiece" option as it has moments of utter brilliance then lets it's self down with moments of total face palming idiocy.

No, I come here because I hate myself. It's a form of digital self-flagellation. I've never even played a Mass Effect game.

First of all, I laughed (sincerely) at those two posts. They're not wrong.

Still, if I went solely off the opinions found on these boards, I would assume that ME was just terrible. Terrible graphics, terrible writing, terrible gameplay, etc....

Duh.

I wouldnt be here if I didnt like the universe.
