So today, the final trailer for Mass Effect Andromeda before launch has landed, and it was awesome! It's probably my favorite out of them all because I felt it was a lot more like a proper movie trailer, with a pretty awesome trailer music as well!
Now truthfully I'm not the guy that tries to pick up uber tiny details in trailers (that's someone else's job), but there was a pretty big thing I noticed.
So there's a scene where Scott, Liam, and Cora are in this strange Kett lab with big green tanks. In one of them is a some kind of big bulky Kett like creature. I think that some creature makes a one second appearance again later on slamming on the ground, but here's something I noticed, it seemed to look a lot like a krogan. And by that I don't mean it was big and bulk like a krogan, no, I'm pretty sure I saw a familiar head shape to the Krogan as well. This leads me to think that creature was originally a krogan and that the Kett were turning him into one of their own.
This is somewhat intriguing, and makes a bit sense since we saw two large creatures that had a very similar bony plated look to the Kett. So I have a theory, what if the Kett are taking alien life forms and converting them into weapons, a bit like what the Reapers did in the original. Now I'm not implying the Kett are just Reapers 2.0, but it is still a curious detail that I can't wait to explore in the future.
What do you guys think?

I noticed the same thing. In fact, I logged in today with the full intention of posting something along these lines, but you thoroughly beat me to it. That was a krogan and it was made of calcified, bony plates, just like the Kett.
Either they can grow Kett to resemble other species in terms of appearance and capability, or their entire race is capable of limited shapeshifting. If this is true, this can help explain why the Kett appear as humanoid or at least similar to a bipedal race like the Angarans. There's also a very good chance that this isn't even their true form -- it may just be the one they find the most practical.

I think you should add possible spoiler tags or have this moved into the spoiler forum.

Kett as organic Borg? I like it. That is actually a pretty good way to describe it.

I had a similar thought. This would be interesting! Would this mean the Kett we see are "converted" angaran?

interesting, this also explains why some of the fiends look kind of "kett-y" (the ones seen working alongside kett) with the bone plate armor as well. fiends are probably large animals converted into kett siege weapons. good catch.. i saw the same thing, the big boney guy, but i just assumed it was a new big kett guy, not an actual krogan turned into kett. +1.

I just thought of a much better, more accurate, and scarier analogy. The Kett are Mass Effects answer to the Yuuzhan Vong.
Organic y technology. Bone implants which seem capable of enslaving or subsuming living creatures. Slight religious undertone s. Plasma based weaponry. And last but not least, though this is a role reversal, extragalactic aliens.

But honestly from some of the footage we have seen it seems the Kett are trying to understand their biotics or create their own. Which is very Vong. And not saying it's a one to one comparison. Just saying it's a lot closer then my earlier analogy and some of the comparisons are...striking.
