...but taking that, and what else we saw in the trailers (especially the launch trailer) into account, I think we can conclude that Archon is indeed after the Ryders for their implanted interfaces, because they let him control Remnant tech.

It was clear that DadRyder had to go in one or another way but I was still hoping that he would at least survive the first mission so that I could interact with him more and become attached to him but I hope we get some emotional interaction with our sibling for that.

That was even more major than the dialogue option lol I cringed as SAM implied his fate.

Yes, I know but he's the father of the Ryders so it'd be devastating for them. Kinda sad. I wanted to spend more time with the Dad Ryder 'cause he seems like an interesting person.

I feel like we know this has to happen in order for Ryder to become the Pathfinder.  Not sure this is really extra spoiler material for an area devoted to spoilers.  Also, it's not confirmation of his fate, just that he's MIA.

It doesn't say it was lethal but hazardous. Again, we're left not really knowing what happened other than that he did something dangerous and isn't in the picture at this time.

Am I a horrible person for hoping we can have an argument with him and say something horrible before he leaves on whatever mission he ends up dead in? I just want ALL the Daddy Issues I can get!
