Are we 100% sure Nolan North doesn't voice male Ryder???

Tom Taylorson ASSUMED DIRECT CONTROL of Nolan North's body when he recorded his lines. That's why he sounds like him.

It doesn't sound like him at all to me. That is, I see what people mean, but you can't be confused that it isn't him.

I think this needs a poll.

Tom Taylorson sounds like Nolan North, but Nolan North doesn't sound like Tom Taylorson.

Nolan North is voicing Tom Taylorson who is voicing Scott Ryder.

Nolan North voices all characters in all games.

You think Laura Bailey is a lady? Guess again. It's North.

Tom does indeed sound a hell of a lot like Nathan Drake to my ears. That said, Nolan has a bunch of other roles that sound nothing like Drake, so only time will tell if the comparison holds up.

In other news, Christian Slater sounds like Jack Nicholson.

Their unaided default voices sound similar.
If you put them both on a vocal scale between 0-10 where 0 is the lowest and 10 is the highest while 5 being in the middle voice range.
Then in my opinion Tom Taylorson would be a 4.9 and Nolan North would be a 5.0 in natural voice.
Reasoning for that is that Tom Taylorson seems to have a slightly deeper and grating (gruffer) voice than Noland North does naturally.
However Mr. North does seem to get that way when in his most famous role.
It just seems to me that the main player characters of Bioware games that are human tend to be voiced from a natural standpoint.
Alas though I am only a amateur audiophile -so take what you will.
