Huh. I'm amazed at how much older you can make Ryder look, he could be as old as Shepard in that screenshot. Shep was 29 in Mass Effect 1 (born 2154 - Eden Prime was 2183), so it's not too far out of the realm to see the Ryders looking/being near the same age. Officially they're ~23 in game I think (born 2163), but in my head - they are 29 just like Shep (also closer to my age, lol). I'll be using that age slider for a more 'weathered' Scott Ryder for sure: I'm going for a ~27 year old Bateman look:

While the Ryders do technically have set ages, I doubt it would really break the lore if you decided to mentally age them up by ten or even twenty years. ME1 confirmed human life expectancy is about 150, so there wouldn't really be anything to stop you roleplaying Alec Ryder as being in his 70's with the twins in their 40's.
Just wonder whether we'll have complexion options to make our Ryders look as old as DAI let your Inquisitors be. Those options were... something.

Although I'm used to Sheploo who looked older than most default custom male Shepards. I love that the default twins look as young as the actual twenty year olds that I know irl.

I enjoy roleplaying so i will use their default faces to play since i have no desire to stay 5 hours in the CC trying to create a Scott and another 5 hours for a Sara who matches their age.

FYI this is what my daddy looks like with UGO Ryder I swear there's something wrong about the way they render eyeballs into the face. You can literally see it's just big rotating 3D ball within the eye-corners.

Ehh...I think I'd rather have the default Alec Ryder even if we customize. I get the feeling he'll look weird no matter what we do.

Assuming u got the Day 1 patch, can you say how much it fixed facial animations/dead human eyes? I am still utterly amazed that so many people are worried about these computer animations looking and having PERFECT human expressions. I mean, this was literally the second question someone asked. Not a question about gameplay, not about the new worlds, not about new weapons, not about the Nomad, but "do I have a pretty face?" I am not that hung up on my character looking and acting completely human. I am not holding a GAME to that kind of standard. I mean, think about it, you rarely ever see your OWN face while playing the game.

You can't have a custom Ryder and default Dad, can you? You can customize both Scott and Sara, but Alec's look is determined by the appearance of the sibling you choose to play as.

Perhaps if you pick one of the caucasian presets for Ryder. But I dunno if DadRyder just has few presets (white, black, asian) or his face takes up on each trait of your Ryder's individually selected face traits?

Liking everything there is with character creator so far from what I seen, looks awesome... but yeh those eyes, its like they are missing blood vessels in the sclera or something, its too "pristine"... Inquisition's eyes were awesome.

I'm a bit confused as to why they do not seem to have kept the way you could create eyes in DA:I - it was one of the best and most beloved features of the CC (at least for me) and made characters look alive and "real". There might be a logical explanation as to why it was abandoned, but I'm not gonna lie and pretend I'm not disappointed. I expect I will love the game regardless, but I do hope they will patch it in the future or at least improve on it in the next game.

I'm wondering do we have to start over the whole game (/prologue, opening video, etc) if we don't like our dad's look or do we see our dad too in the CC so can we just select a menu item and we can continue design our Ryder again.

I don't believe you will see dad in the cc Can you access the character creator without starting the prologue/opening video, or does a portion of the game's narrative present before the character creator a la Mass Effect 2?
