I for one, am not really happy with what happened with them...
Legion says in ME2 that there are basically two factions of geth; ones that wish to build their own future and ones that went to the Reapers for their advancement. In Mass Effect 3, Legion says and wants the opposite of his initial stance, now that they've been given the Reaper's intelligence. Now ALL of them are using Reaper tech to advance rather than find their own way. It just rubbed me the wrong way, I liked the type of "innocence" Legion had of organics and the insight he gave into Geth logic. Having them suddenly become more like organics (though I suppose that's debatable) sorta ruined them for me...
I found the Geth unique and liked the difference they had with organics but that dynamic changed to something a bit boring and contradicting IMO.
I can't type this out very well... Also, by no means am I trying to whine at Bioware, i'm just curious what others think.

Didn't care for the reaper upgrade code thing myself for similar reasons. Legion seems to do a 180 on several of the things he stated in ME2.
Like you mention, the Geth were not interested in being handed their future, they wished to build their future. That was the whole reason for the schism between themselves and the heretics where the latter were going to accept tech from the Reapers. Legion talks about being blinded to alternatives when you simply copy an existing technology and uses Sovereigns dialogue to underscore this.
The Geth plan for the future was to upload all processes into one megastructure so that all processes could share data, and no platforms would be alone. Yes the Quarians destroyed it, but it seems odd that this led them to the conclusion that using the Reaper code to fracture into individuals was a more desirable alternative.

I have absolutely no problem with it. I've read a lot of criticisms about the direction Bioware took the geth, but I've yet to see a single one that presents any better plotl ine or way to incorporate a geth arc into ME3 that utilizes the "hive mind" direction.
Sure it's contradictory to some things we MAY have learned about Legion and the geth in ME2; but at least Bioware's direction creates some doubts in Shepard's mind as to the Legion's apparent ability to lie to him/her. That creates some tension between the characters that really didn't exist in ME2. It also paves the way for the use of the Geth VI in a similar role (where Shepard has no reason to really trust the Geth VI) in case the player lost Legion during the SM or opted to send Legion to Cerberus). It also involves them in the overall Reaper conflict... i.e. enables them to side with the Alliance for the final conflict (if, again, the player chooses that route).

On holiday on Dantooine. This whole "vengeance on the Jedi" thing gets very tiring after a while.

Only got that far in ME3 once, so I can't really remember much about it. I guess they just weren't that impressive. I liked seeing the two recordings about the Quarian war, though.
Gameplay wise, I hated the 64th (Damn auto-correct). Stupid stunlocks.

The bit that grated to me was that if you go for peace then the Quarians can be called off, but that there is no option to convince Legion to not upload the code -AND- call off the Quarian fleet. I'd rather have seen the Geth retain their original code and keep Legion alive, than to let him destroy himself to give them Reaper code.

Not entirely fulfilled. Wish there was one more mission in the Rannoch arc, more acknowledgement of danger with the 'peace' (I'll still pick it), and another option that convinces Legion (not Geth VI) to try something else even if it meant the Quarians still die but relatively more Geth die.
