Elcor in Andromeda

I wouldn't count on seeing them and a number of other milky way aliens in the new Andromeda installment.

Alas, it seems like my grand dreams of Elcor romance in ME:A will meet the same cruel fate as my dreams of a Fex PC in any Dragon Age game.

But I like the elcor.

I smell DLC.

I thought elcor were tragically underused. I wanted a mission to Dekunna in ME3, and was really disappointed.

Not only that, but it seems that BioWare is intent on rehashing the same old plot lines involving these species. For instance, the Krogan genophage.

Despite being dealt with and discussed ad nausum in the previous trilogy; and taking up a full third of the last title to resolve; it appears that we will once again have to decide the fate of the Krogan as a species.

Seriously, it's bad enough that we have to spotlight these aliens that have already experienced their narrative arcs in the previous games, but we don't even get any new takes on them. It's all just a massive repeat of what's been done and said before.

Director Tann confirms there is a fifth ark made up of Quarians, Hanar, and Drell. But because of technical problems cause by the different atmosphere and food requirements of the three species it was delayed.

My guess is that depending on how the community responds it will either be DLC or retconned to have been one of the Quarian civilian ships blown up over Rannoch in Mass Effect 3.

I don't think there is any word on Elcor.

Realistically speaking, this makes sense.  Get some people out there to establish colonies.  They can find new "golden worlds" for those with unusual requirements.  Then send these other arks a few years later.  Now, quarians have a world that they can use but they'd have to share it with turians.  I'm not sure how hard it would be to find a water world for hanar or desert(?) for the drell. I'm thinking that's pretty easy unless there's something we don't know.
