Single-player DLC Timeline Speculation (Official Thread)

Well I dunno about month, but otherwise sure.

the first 2 I'd agree with the 3rd one I'm not too sure about. I say that because don't forget Bioware has this new IP game they plan on releasing this time next year so will want to give that some room to maneuver as well and promote it so will likely want to focus on getting that done and promoted properly so I'd say that all 3 DLC packs assuming there are 3 will likely be out I'd say by October/November this year at latest. So basically the rest of this year will be MEA after that focus will shift onto the new IP

I believe they stated the new IP will be out by March 2018. If we assume the release date for it is March 2018, then they can still shell out a final DLC for MEA in January or February.Save

tbh I don't think they'd be dropping DLC for their old game while tryingto market their new one so I think your DLC 3 date will likely be wrong but we'll see.

I'd change 2nd DLC launch to November to maybe release on or near N7 day, while 3rd one at March to be released almost at exact time as 1 year anniversary from ME:A release.

1st DLC could be either June or July.


As for the content of it?


2nd Story DLC can be anything, would need to play the game first to get ideas.

3rd Story DLC I hope it will be Trespasser like post-ending DLC.
Because I honestly don't think sequel to ME:A can have Ryder as protagonist, due to him/her being overpowered by end of the game and due to AI hitting the ceiling on expanding due to limited population and industry that will need decades or generations to advance. Even with new arks coming from Milky Way, they won't be enough for rapid expansions, in fact they'd be a burden until industry and urbanization kicks in.
Also it gives Bioware some room to add in an option for giving us an alien PC to play as in sequel and not just a human.
Oh and it will take a shit ton of time for AI to build Mass Relays, if they want to get into Andromeda Galaxy and rapidly expand to compete against Andromeda native species and civilization.

As for what last story DLC could entail?

You know what Rockstar did with GTA IV and then with GTA V?

Expect the same from Bioware with Andromeda.

Hoping for at least 3 big SP Story DLCs akin Citadel, Lair of the Shadow Broker and a "post ending" Arrival + new squadmate(s).

I hope we will start to hear about it by the next month but that is just my wishfull thinking without any evidence to back it up.

give it a couple REAL patches and then the focus should be DLC. its a waste to work on DLC when a game still crashes and is too buggy. anyone having a bad experience is never gonna dream about DLC when they cant even play the game.
