tbh, I'll take 6 squadmates with a lot of banter and relationships over ME2's 12 squadmates with no interactions whatsoever. This. 12 squadmates was simply too much.

I am fine with 6, I never felt like I needed more than that. I get why people like a lot of choice but sometimes it is detrimental to quality of the characters. Also there could be DLC's with extra squaddies.

Isn't that the same number as ME and ME3 (not including Javik)?

Let's hope they are very chatty since there are so few of them. Six is enough to make a lot of combinations since you only bring 2 along. If they let us apply customizations to the looks of the human squadmates, like in SWTOR, that would have been an ideal set up for me.

Isn't that the same number as ME and ME3 (not including Javik)? Yep! Only difference is, we get to bond a lot more with them and have deeper relations, and the crew relationships were inspired by the DAI advisers, so they are also more special.

I'd rather have 6 squad members with deep conversations and friendship than 12 members with less connection with them. Think about how much time it would take to know all of those 12 members and will you even like them all or will you go on missions with every single one of them? I'd take a few more (as long as they aren't done like Zaed and Kasumi (can't really talk with them and can't romance either one after all -.-), not that I don't like them! I just think they were wasted potential, they could have been great if they had been fleshed out!)...the squad so far kind of seems boring and full of stereotypes... Liam reminds me of Jacob (except for the biotics he doesn't have!) sadly and Cora gives me a Miranda vibe (especially since she'll be pissed you are getting her gig, just like Miranda is pissed you are in command instead of her (she of course gets over it, just like Cora will most likely)) The Krogan, Drak, gives me a Grunt/Wrex vibe (a mixture of both...he's a non biotic, so more Grunt than Wrex, but he's also old (experienced!) and wise!), especially since he's a bruiser like them, too (note: Can we get a Krogan engineer or a sniper (or at least another - ranged - biotic) next time? Bruisers are kind of boring IMHO!) Vetra I don't know (I'd rather have had someone like Nyreen - a cabal-member or an engineer, not another "hold the line" kind of Turian...we meet enough of them in the games IMHO) Peebee is kind of a mix of Liara and a young Asari mercenary/dancer (she's more playful than Liara, but she's also an academic interested in old cultures (she's more Indiana Jones instead of some stuffy suit behind a desk teaching))... Jaal? I don't know about him either (what is he? A sniper? So an emotional Garrus? ) That's it...they cut the Salarian after all I'd love some more (hell, I'd take a day one DLC at this point, as long as it's included in the pre-order! As much as I lamented the Javik DLC (I have it and I liked Javik, but I didn't like how they added him as he made the game better and ME3 needs that, it's crappy enough with Javik (Ending...despite extended cut, that only prolongs the agony!), it would be worse without him IMHO!) greetings LAX

You are aware of the INSANE amount of banter between the what, 9 companions in DAI? And who knows, maybe this time around we won't have to wait half a year for them to make that banter appear in game more often than once every 2 hours.

No Quarian. Vetra is a turian. But there may be a secret one. There isnt, those 6 are all we will be getting. And as far as i know there is no dlc one, and wont be. Whilst I agree it's unlikely I wouldn't rule out the possibility of an extra squadmate added later as DLC possibly even the Salarian squaddie that they were thinking of adding earlier in development and then got cut as they were also originally going to give us a Salarian squadmate as well. So they may still do so via DLC for example later we just don't know.

I'm glad to have a smaller group. I found that when I had a larger team, like in ME2 or DAI, some characters got benched for the entire game.
Honestly, with only 6 I still find myself leaving some of them behind. In ME1 its usually Liara, as I'm often a biotic myself or I'm taking Kaidan. In ME3 its EDI (because I dislike her) and/or Liara again.
I think that DA2 was the only BW game in which I went out of my way to use the teammates equally.
Having said that, I prefer a larger squad. But if the content is top-notch then I can be happy with 6.

I was fine with smaller party in ME1 (also 6 squadmates), but here in Andromeda I would really appreciate bigger team. I mean, from what I've seen so far, these seem as the least interesting squad so far in BW games, especially the guys (Jacob 2.0, Wrex 2.0, overly emotional alien). On the other hand, Vetra nad Peebee seem nice and I hope I'll get along with Cora too. For the first time, I'll probably end up with two girls in squad for most of the time.

I really don't get the Jacob and Liam connection other than both of them being Black men. Liam seems way more laid back than Jacob, plus Liam seems like he has more humour.
I'm really happy that Liam has a British accent btw.

I would rather get 6 squadmates that are well developped and have more cutscenes than twelve of them that don't have as much development as they should get, that is what happen in ME 2, way too many squadmates to have proper focus on what is important.

Apparently it's...insane! What? Where? Playing DA:I atm, and characters rarely say anything. Had a bit in Act I, but in Act two, it's complete silence. Sera, Dorian and Cassandra group. Don't think Dorian and Sera talked to each other ever, and saw one banter each for D-C and S-C. So... where is my banter?!
