For the most part, these Strike Missions function as a sort of strategy meta-game that exists in parallel with but largely separate from the main storyline. But as Frazier explains, there are optional exceptions: ?Some of these missions are called 'Apex Missions.' They're generally a little harder. You can send your teams to do them, but it's going be really hard for them unless you've really leveled up your teams. Or you can do it yourself in multiplayer. You can just hit a button, it'll quick-save your single-player game [and] launch you directly into multiplayer where you can solo if you want, you can match-make with friends, [or] you can do a public game and match-match with strangers."Will I be able to use MY Scott or do I have to start a brand new MP character for this?

I would assume you'd choose one of the existing MP kits. It does seem a little confusing but I think that once we see it played out it'll be quite straightforward.

I would assume you'd choose one of the existing MP kits. It does seem a little confusing but I think that once we see it played out it'll be quite straightforward. I guess I'd be able to put the preorder MP packs to good use in any event. As of right now, considering I can't stand MP in anything they'd be going to waste. And I really don't wanna have to MP grind just to have a decent character to use for strike missions. |

Since you'll play in MP, you'll likely have to use a MP kit - I doubt MP supports the Ryder special snowflake profile switching.
Or you stay in SP and do it war table style.

Seems pretty straightforward to me. It quick-saves your singleplayer game, takes you out of it, and loads you into multiplayer.
Seeing as it takes you completely out of singleplayer, you'll be using a multiplayer character. Imagine trying to maintain immersion when there's a full four-man team of Ryders running around.
