Are you going be focusing on kits or weapons or both?

I'll be working on my personal skill first. If I don't suck royal ass, I'll be able to get by with shitty weapons.

I need something to chew through content with relative ease in early access.
After game is released,I can start building manifest at slower pace.

I think they mentioned something like this. Could be they were only talking about rarity, though, not sure.

Don't know until I get playing. I will say one that I think I'll have to change some of my past mp behaviour. I normally only ever carry 1 weapon in me3mp, just don;t like switiching but I think there might be more of a need to switch in this mp.

Weapons for me. They haven't said much or anything about N7 weapons, I assume it will be like ME3 and we will have to unlock on weekend events.

Kits because powers will hopefully offset that lack of weapon damage in the short term.

I 'ma focus in killing stuff.

While certain powers look really cool this time (love alternate cast of Pull), none of the kit combinations are exactly what I'd like to play. Still a bit sad we can't make custom kits and limited to 3 powers.

Anyway having said that I'm still likely to focus on powers and melee damage more than weapons, unless melee damage requires rare upgrades to be viable on certain characters with weaker base melee.

I think I'll be working on both kits and weapons.

In any case it really doesn't matter to me. I'll be busy scrubbing the floor and have fun while doing it.

Can we even get to choose or make a decision in which our preference would matter? Packs are totally random, right? Or has that changed?

Anyway, let's assume I can choose which path to take. Guns are better, but there are too many of them and obviously they get better and more efficient as you unlock them. The devs said there are over 40 unique weapons, that means over 400 weapon unlockables, many of which are likely Ultra Rare.
Characters on the other hand, there are 25, and they don't get better nor more efficient as you unlock them; they just get more colorful. This is a far shorter route to take early game.
I believe the shortest, most efficient route is to unlock a Flamer character and/or the the Krogan Vanguard early on, and use them to grind your way to Gold and farm credits. The Krogan Vanguard btw seems to be a tanky beast just as he was in ME3, but thanks to Nova he should be dealing even more damage and he is just Uncommon rather than Rare this time around. He should be a very easy and handy unlock early on.

I'm addicted to characters, so that's what I'll be after.
