It's quite similar to the one on the OT. Also, that one got engraved into everyone's minds; it surely wasn't instantly memorable when new. Really similar, but slightly more upbeat - feels in line with the style of game Andromeda is: I think it's great. People wanting 'instantly memorable' stuff always confuses me......the trilogy had many years to get engraved into our heads as memorable, you need to let the cheese get to room temperature before it tastes and smells memorable IMO. This song does not at all sound more upbeat, imho. It sounds very foreboding and melancholic. Or maybe not... I think that maybe "contemplative" is the right word. It's quiet and understated, but that also makes it very soothing. As catchy as the galaxy map music was in the OT, it was actually really grating after awhile. Too many sharp sounds for it to be relaxing. I always felt acutely aware of it, and I think music should enhance the experience, not steal the show. Suicide Mission, by comparison, amp'd the intensity of the final mission by a thousand, but never felt overbearing. It felt like a part of the experience. I can't say I like this new version better, just yet. Especially because the old theme is so damn iconic. What I will say, though, is that this theme is much easier to listen to. I could fall asleep to it. I could game to it. I could draw to it. It's ambient, and it's well done in that respect. The whole reason I clicked on this thread was because I was already in the process of listening to the theme on loop. It's nice to browse the Andromeda forums with some actual Andromeda music.

I already wrote my impressions in the comments to the video. Overall, it's not bad but I'm not impressed because the music sounds like a timid imitation of the Galaxy Map music and it does not inspire me because it sounds like it's trying not to be noticed too much. It lacks complex intersections of arpeggios and harmonies. It has the tone but it does nothing special with it. The map itself looks fine but I'm generally distracted by the busy and somewhat inconsistent UI design for this game and as I said in the past, it reminds me of Sonic Boom Rise of Lyric's UI and I'm not even joking about that. It looks good, but let's not start handing out medals. It's just good enough and not much else. Personally, I'm glad that it's more akin to a toned down version of the original galaxy map music, because after hours upon hours of going through the galaxy map in the original trilogy, I can safely say that I'm kind of sick of it. But really, I could do with a galaxy map that has no music at all. I'm generally not a fan of any tracks constantly playing on a continuous loop.

It doesn't sound terrible, but it lacks personality and isn't memorable whatsoever, unlike the Galaxy Map from the trilogy. I didn't even remember that the Galaxy Map has music in the trilogy and I replayed ME1 and ME2 less than 3 months ago (for like the 10th time)... the music probably wasn't as memorable as you think it was. Players and critics alike have been creaming their pants over the Uncharted Worlds theme for years. It's up there with Vigil's theme and the Suicide Mission theme as far as popularity is concerned.

Totally loving the lightning effects when scanning a planet.
This sounds pretty good actually, I'm sure I'll get tired of it though with hours of play.

Looks good....music sounds decent too. I have no complaints other than why isn't Sam being portrayed here?...

More ambient by far...to far. Sounds a bit like music from Deus Ex: Human Revolution. I literally feel asleep... ok maybe that is combined with being up 36 hours already... Guess that is a fair warning not to play ME:A if tired. If I need to I will commit heresy and play the original ME1-ME3 uncharted worlds music on a loop while playing ME:A so be it.
