I'm confused by this enemy. Other enemies are "unknown", but this one is "heavy unknown". What does it mean? That Ryder doesn't know what a Kett is, but his bedazzlement and confusion are relative to the target's size? Will those huge Michael Bay Transformers remnant thingies be denoted as "Greatest unknowns"? What is this tomfoolery!?!?

"Heavy" means "with heavy weapons" in military jargon. Ryder can see the enemy's weapons, so this is a "heavy unknown". Ryder doesn't know kett yet.

Maybe it's in reference to the armaments the kett is carrying?

He looks the same as the other unknowns but he is bigger. Nothing to see here.

Then it should be named "Unknown Heavy", shouldn't it? The "Heavy unknown" clearly says that Ryder has some tangential understanding or regular Kett, but the slightly bigger ones confuse the shit out of him.

Without any of us playing the game yet, I think you may be reading into the wording too much. It is likely that like someone said they just have heavy weapons or more health.

Yeah, I agree with OP, seriously, sometimes BioWare don't know what they're saying. Look at this dialogue.
"Liara, perhaps you're working with the wrong people." "I am not my mother!".
It's like, yes, you're not, Liara! It's as if BioWare does not understand that she isn't Benezia almost like they mistook her when they wrote that. Benezia looks completely different and Liara obviously isn't her. I don't understand, it's so hard to understand.

No, no, you just have to think about it! Liara says "I'm not my mother". You'd think she meant that she isn't Benezia, but we know that because all you have to do is look at her. It's as if the writer doesn't understand that.

By stating she is not her mother she is referring to personalty not actually physically being identical to her mother. It's common in western culture to believe that children grow up to be similar in character to their parents (the apple does not fall far from the tree). Liara's statement here is that she is nothing like her mother and is her own person (ethically, morally, personality etc)

Actually, I was just goofing around, but it's a reference to an actual brainfart topic I made back in the old BSN days lol. I just thought it was fitting to the topic.

It's just a way to let the player know OOC that this enemy is not a simple grunt. From a distance he isn't that different, so the devs did this to make him easier to spot and dealt with. Maybe other option could be to have him with colored armor (remember those red rocket guys in ME2?) would have worked as well.

I imagine this is from your first mission, and you don't yet know who the khett are - therefore "uknown heavy" unknown enemy with huge arterillary.

Benezia looks completely different and Liara obviously isn't her. I don't understand, it's so hard to understand. That's actually a common construction in idiomatic English; "I am not X" is substituted for "I am not like X in any way that's relevant to the current topic." Shorter and punchier. I'm surprised you don't recognize it, but this is just how English works. Languages in general, really; you have to know when the literal meaning is not the actual meaning. Unless this post was just a joke, but I remember that someone on the old boards didn't understand that line either. Maybe Sylvius? Though in my experience he generally gets idioms; he just wants people to stop using them.
