It will. It includes patch .01, .02 and .03 The patch notes for .01 mentions that it fixes several animations across multiple scenes. This is what has been seen in the previews already.

It does, and there's still bugs and jank animations galore. I think this game is gonna get savaged in reviews. The thing that would've save this game from people coming down harsh on it's technical problems is it's story. Because that's exactly what happened with ME1. So far people aren't impressed with it's writing.

I used to think that I was cynical and a pessimist. Then I found the BSN.

I'm one of them, I watched a couple hours of the preview videos yesterday and everything seemed worth the hype to me. But this is where you'll say "lol biodrone" and dismiss anyone who has good things to say, so...

I have never played a ME or DA sequel that didn't have negative and mixed impressions. If that ever happened I would actually start to get worried.

You are going to find it bad. Never let negative impressions get to you before trying a game. Once you load up the game, it's all you are going to see.

The thing that would've save this game from people coming down harsh on it's technical problems is it's story. Because that's exactly what happened with ME1. So far people aren't impressed with it's writing. The dialogue can get absurdly cringy, but it's not an unmitigated disaster. Not their finest work though, I gotta be honest about that. As far as the story goes, I'm mildly interested by the motivations of the kett, the nature of the Remnants (here's hoping they're Protheans who escaped to Andromeda 50,000 years ago) and the fate of the Arks. Not so much by the obvious Inquisition building of the Nexus or the "YOU GOTTA FIX DEM HABITATS, YO"-plot. The lore, though... RIP. It contradicts the trilogy left and right in places you wouldn't imagine.

Some retcons I'm willing to allow, but if it reaches an absurd amount this game will lose its identity. It'll really be hard for me to enjoy it. The story is on top of my list, over anything else... Without giving away spoilers, is it really bad?

Without giving away spoilers, is it really bad? As someone who knows the ME lore like the back of my hand, it's pretty bad. My main issue, above all else, is that I have to keep asking myself where all the fancy Initiative tech was in ME3, considering it was developed and produced before the events of ME3 took place. Did they take all the blueprints with them and somehow keep the technology secret from the STG, Cerberus and the Shadow Broker? The Andromeda Initiative sure wasn't a secret project given how literally everyone in the game keeps mentioning "this wasn't in the brochures".

Oh dear God, this is gonna be the weirdest feeling playing this game. It's going to be a mixture of bliss for waiting 5 years to play this but at the same time I'll be going "lalalala" ignoring all the gaping holes in the lore. It'll be weird for me. This is the least confident I've ever been for a Bioware product.
