Moderator supported thread.Hey folks, With Early Access going live on both Xbox One and Origin, I'm very excited to see many of you begin playing the game and sharing your thoughts. If you've got any NON-SPOILER feedback on the game that you'd like to share from your early access experience which is too long for Twitter (or you just don't use Twitter), please post it here. I'm not going to respond to it, for the most part (only so many hours in the day) but I WILL read it all, and it'd make it a whole lot easier for me to find the feedback largely collated in one place. Plus I can point other devs here if I see some particularly valuable feedback. Once the game hits shelves there will be a zillion threads to read, here and elsewhere, but since the pool for Early Access is comparatively small, I thought it would be nice to consolidate your feedback from the trial here over the next few days. I just ask that you respect the rules of the forum and not post any spoilers here, and that you don't share your feedback on the game in this thread if you haven't actually played it yet--there are numerous other threads for that. Happy gaming! P.S. - I'm mostly looking for general feedback, but if you run into any specific *bugs* that hurt your experience, they can be formally reported on the Answers HQ website. That ensures they get into the bug tracker for the dev team to investigate.

I'll give you a piece of my mind when the 10 hours are up. Some early feedback is that your CC is a downgrade from DAI. An overall net negative as far as I'm concerned.

So far it plays amazing! The characters I've talked to are interesting and I want to learn more about all of them! Had my first combat fight about 10 minutes ago... it's so freaking fun! I can't give it a rating yet but I'm leaning on a pretty high number. Oh and the graphics are just beautiful. Haven't played Multiplayer yet will give feedback when I do! Thank you BioWare for all your hard work.

Im in it!! The game looks good, better than expected, combat gameplay feels like a mass effect game to me.
Like a lot people I think the CC is lacking but they said they will try to patch it so it will be good.

Still waiting for my download to... download so the only thing I can properly give feedback on is the CC. Mainly being that if it's possible, to make all or at least a majority of the hairstyles available to both Ryders, for example - the 2 natural hairstyles available for black male Ryders should be available to female Ryders too.

My feedback is that the character creator needs a very serious and very intensive overhaul. The fact that we're basically stuck with the facial features of whichever preset we choose is, frankly, shocking. Even ME1 had the option to change individual facial features via a series of eye/nose/mouth presets. That game came out 10 years ago. With this CC you're basically saying, "here are nine faces, hope you like one of them! If you don't, well, you're out of luck."
The customisation options for the facial features are so barebones it's almost not a character creator at all — it's more a a "character chooser", as in "choose one of our nine predetermined faces, make some trivial tweaks, and pick a hairstyle. Done." No depth whatsoever. It boggles my mind how much of a step back this is from DAI, let alone the original trilogy.

Just a suggestion to the mods. If [BIO]Tiberius (Ian Frazier) wants, maybe we can have a variety of threads pinned at the top for various types of feedback, post launch. For example, if he wants ideas on how to improve the character creator for a future patch, pin a thread up top and make that the designated feedback thread. It's all about community. The devs don't have time to read everything, but if we pin up threads that have our main feedback on MEA, I think that would go a long way. It can help with post-launch patches, future DLC, or even future games. Bioware has always been about community feedback, and while we can never have an absolutely perfect game, I think we owe it to the devs to try and explain certain feedback here on the forums in ways that can't be done on Twitter. It can help both the community and the devs in the long run, and I think that's a situation we can all welcome with open arms. Thanks to [BIO]Tiberius for setting this thread up! I hope we get more opportunities like this to send feedback directly to the devs. I know they can't implement all our wishes, but I know it's surely not from a lack of heart or trying, and they are listening

CC is less than ideal, preset faces with limited adjustments ; I prefer DAI's, more control. Beginnings is firing off fine. Cora is...weird, her face. that is.

The good: combat it's frickin great! Character's are also good, I'm interested in learning more about them. Tempest flying around was seeeeexy. Also graphics in my opinion were fantastic as a PC user. I honestly don't know how people can say they look awful O.o. Hazards are a cool idea. I enjoy the frostfall mod for skyrim and this is a pretty similar system. I will say though the temp that is considered hazard level one is a little low for a futuristic armor suit that is supposed to handle a flamethrower to the face. That's not game breaking by any means just a little unimmersive (note I've been to death valley on a 120 degree Fahrenheit day so know its pretty damn hot but it is livable). Onward to hairstyles, which were done really well (in most cases) as was the make up in addition to color options.
The not so good: Animations were still hit and miss with ryder I didn't notice teammates that often, except when you first talk to DadRyder on habitat 7 and cora's starts speaking to him cept her eyes go cross and down making her look goofy. This is a personal complaint that some might share but the baddie archon looks adorable and that makes him hard to take seriously, though if you were going for adorable you nailed it. Basically I did the same thing when I finally saw Eredin's face in the witcher 3, laugh hysterically for a minute.
The Bad: The character creator is a huge step down. I'm a bit spoiled from Black Desert Online's CC (which is, without a doubt, the best on the market) but this is worse than the OT. Also the eyes. I'm making this a separate complaint because I'm 100% getting a mod as soon as I can for them. The iris looks like it was made with pastel colors and the rest of the eye looks like glass.
All in All I will buy this game (have to wait for my new rig!) and enjoy the shit out of it.

I did have one bug in MP already, had 10 grenades and couldn't re-arm any once I used them. Kinda weird, but was cool saving them for the last wave and just grenading the hell out of everything.

I confess that I didn't play yet, but I have one complain: It's about time that Bioware changes the formula of the characters' sexuality. Let me be cleat that I don't want more options and I know that in some games I won't get what I want, but more variations from game to game would be cool, especially concerning the human squadmates.

Okay, so... What a start. I was giggling like a little girl when the "Mass Effect Andromeda" appeared in the screen. I picked quick Scott Ryder startup, cause I wanted to jump right in without wasting any time. And then later I realized I didn't choose Shepard's gender, so I have been wondering what was the default option for the quick startup since then, and if anyone cares in answering... maybe Tiberius...? The whole intro felt very like Mass Effect 1, the soundtrack, talking to people, and then heading into the unknown from mine and Ryder's perspective. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time during the crash. Ryder and Liam met again, and boy, what a hilarious banter they have. They're literally two young lost bros in a wild space. The visuals and presentation was off the charts throughout the level, so beautiful. Great job here. The first contact with the Kett was surprisingly well done, props for making the moment with the player's control, I was eating my nails as the Kett talked shizzle at me, I wasn't sure what to do, I didn't want to mess things up. Really invested here. And the combat... it's so smooth, like - really smooth. I didn't know the cover would work that well, at least so far. It makes me eager to have another gunfight. It's holly balls of amazing. The performance in this level, Habitat 7, was consistent most of the time, didn't notice any major frame drops. Xbox One here, overall - solid performance. Hoping for that Scorpio patch... right? Fast forward spoilers, (epic scene by the way), The Nexus... what a hub, so vibrant and full of life. That view... very Mass Effecty. Need to open this thing up. Side quests, so far, have been really interesting, lots of dialogue and lots of player's input, feels meaningful and I get to learn more about this world and what's happening in it. Just got The Tempest. And by the goddess, what a lovely ship. It feels like a place I want to spend 100 hours in it. The only thing that bothered me a little was the strong outside lighting and how some textures looked rather off because of it. I think Ryder's facial textures weren't fully loaded until a certain point. But it was hard to know because of the light. Really dig the UI, so fast and effective. Not the nightmare that was vanilla TW3. If that's the Andromeda theme during the Tempest's take off, it's perfection. Anyways, I'm taking a break because got to wake up early tomorrow, but I can't wait to visit Eos, and the Nomad! Story's been shaping up to be something special, I already love Sam and the mystery behind the Ryder family. So much to discover! Also, Bae Cora :3 That's my impressions so far. Really enjoying it. Five years of waiting, and it was worth it. Now, someone fill me in regarding the canon Shepard for each quick startup or I will die of angst before the game tells me and I have to restart again... Edit : Forgot to add, I already am enjoying Scott Ryder more than Shepard, he feels like an actual person instead of the player's avatar, as seen in ME1 and ME2, he reacts to stuff, the animations being an important factor, and sure - they aren't perfect by any means, there's room for improvements, but they don't take me away from the immersion. I love Scotty :3 His walking animations, though... fingergasm. I hope I just made that word up...

Happy so far after 3 hours in sp. on Xbox and it runs smoothly. I'm enjoying it all round. Went default so I can't comment on the cc.
Only thing I really don't like is being limited to auto saves and checkpoints in the critical path missions. Should be able to manual save anytime outside of combat.
Loving the combat and the environments. It feels really alien but it still feels like mass effect.
Bit more variety in the kett models would've been nice but maybe that will come later.

Quick reaction is that it feels ME but at the same time it also feels very, very DAI. An hr in and one thing that keeps bugging me is that I'm not making a connection with Ryder yet. 'could be based on the CC missing customization, but also that the dialogue is a bit... lacking... even though there is a ton of it.

add a Field of View slider!
and let us move the info from the left side of the screen in MP, (player nade, weapons, enemy killed) to another position, it's very annoying to see that info showing up right on top of my character
and the facial animations suck, they are robotic

2 hours in, half of that spent on character customization. The CC...needs work. While it is cool having Alec Ryder resemble the player character, and I can understand why the presets are limited, I don't think gutting the CC from where it was in DA:I is worth that little bit of extra family resemblance. Especially since Scott and Sara can look nothing alike.
So far, I really dig SisRyder's VA. She sounds more...animated than the Inquisitor did in DA:I, and that makes me immediately connect with her more. All of her dialogue flows pretty naturally, though the casual tone is my favorite thus far. Facial animations are a mixed bag. No offense, but no BioWare game has ever had great facial animation, and I've gotten used to ignoring it and listening to the VAs instead. Haven't done enough combat to provide a meaningful assessment of that, will post more once I've experienced more.
