MEA: The Trolls among us

I suppose I am a troll since I'm new and a thread I created with skepticism was deleted, with no PM explaining why. (Helpful) I have been a fan since ME1 and was active on the official forms until they closed down. But, what do I know? I haven't run forums with thousands of members. (I have) This is a great place, but I think better communication to these people you consider trolls would be helpful.


Also, couldn't this thread could be considered trolling itself by your standards? And this thread has nothing to do with the game MEA. Isn't this in the the wrong board?

That there is that much ignorance over what a troll is in 2017 is baffling.

I wasn't even aware there was an ignore button in these forums, but I probably won't use it often. Maybe just in extreme cases of trolling.

If you are of the impression that a thread or post is only made to insult or attack something (a game, a person, a company, etc) and not to make a useful point (aka a troll), my advice is to report them to the Mods. That is the reason we have the "report" function. They will then decide if they need to take any actions.

And no, I don't say that people should report just because they don't like what they read.

I'm usually one of those people that defends this game. Most things that bother other people, never really seem to bother me, however, I'm also not going to dismiss people who make complaints about the game, regardless of how many posts they've made previously, as trolls unless they say something truly outlandish or false. Obviously, there are going to be some trolls, but I don't think everyone who makes a post complaining about something is doing it for the sole purpose of trolling.

The animations in this game are bad, especially when compared to previous games. I really don't think the facial animations are as good as ME3's facial animations. It's not like the previous ME games had absolutely stellar animations, but they weren't this bad. I recently went back and watched some cutscenes from ME3, looked at how various characters like Jack, Shepard, etc. were animated and they definitely seem better, not as much "dead eyes" going on (keep in mind, I'm talking about the animations, not necessarily the graphics).

The fact that we can't change the shape of the nose, eyes, mouth, etc on the CC is also bad. What possible reason is there for not allowing this feature when it was available for every other game in the franchise and DA. The ability to be able to craft your character the way you want has always been a highlight of the game.

None of these things will keep me from playing the game, of course, I'm mainly interested in the characters and their interactions and dialogue and as long as those things are good, I can live with everything else, but that's not going to stop me from critiquing some things that I feel are wrong with the game.

This is all amusing to me.

I've spent the day on twitter and I've been peeking in on the BSN to hear positive feedback.

The games getting eaten alive over minor details everywhere but here from what I can see.

Some cause for shrivelling your face up but nothing to Pre-emptively execute Jos over.

Nah I read the post and seen what I had to even checked out the edit. It sounded like a fanboy complaining because others don't rate it as much. Sure I saw the oh this game sucks stuff whatever but that isn't any different from omg this game is the greatest of all time. Now I'm not saying the OP said that but I was making a point that people who over praise this game can be easily classed as fanboys just as much as people who dislike where this game is going can be classed as trolls.
